Great video!! I use a tickle of sugar dissolved in water, and it works jut fine! (The tricky part is to get the mix right) and it’s a cheap alternative to the fancy sprays that are out there. 🦊
I pour a little of it on the print bed, and then I use my index finger to make sure that it covers the area where the first layer is gonna be printed. And that’s it! c:
good that you are getting your first layers to stick :) remember to use 99% isopropanol and a fresh paper towel to clean your build surface. i clean mine after each print as i print abs currently, some filaments need less preparation and can do with less often cleaning. there is no way around a clean plate people :) your hands are most often the culprit. if you use acetone you can damage the plastic coating on most modern plates. DO NOT DO THIS! SHE HAD NOT BROKEN A PLATE WITH IT YET.. trust me bro... it WILL deteriorate much much faster with acetone. if anything you should follow your manufacturers choice of cleaning. most suggest good old soap and water.
@@gubutek never used acetone and you should not either. soap and water will do fine, when doesnt cut it isoproyl is cheaper, safer, and does not chemically melt your pei. go ahead and search for what acetone does to pei?

*just (sorry for the typo xd)
This is the first time I heard about sugar water. How do you apply it to the print bed? with brush?

I don't use acetone often though. Every now and then when the isopropyl does not work, I get to give the bed a wipe and it helps.
