i am so thankfull for the tutorial i saw people dancing quickstep and also wanted to know how it goes but my dancecourse will teach it only in the advanced course. I dont wnat to wait so long and a friend of mine can already dance it and i had to say no srry i can`t dance it and had her to dance alone. But now i can dance with her easily :) and do not have to stand at the rim of the dance hall xD

I like to ask what is different ( in your video) Social foxtrot for woman start with right foot and just slow start with left foot.

Thanks for your question. In social foxtrot basic for lady starts with right foot back. In quickstep basic (quarter turn to right) for lady starts with left foot back. Usually dancers do preparation step (man with left foot forward; lady with right foot back) in order to start dancing for lady with right foot back. This method (preparation step) is used in standard dances when we want to start dancing with figure which itself starts for lady with left foot.
Here is my favorite beginner-level routine in Q-step:
For the "long side of the ballroom"
Quarter Turns to R and to the L (2X each side)--SSQQSSQQSSQQSSQQ
Lock Step Forward (2x or 3x depending on size of dance floor)--SSQQSSQQ(SSQQ)S
Natural Spin Turn at a corner--SQQSSSS
For the short side of the ballroom
2-3 of Progressive Chasse--QQ
Lock Step Forward (2x)--SSQQSSQQ
Natural Spin Turn at a corner--SSQQSSS
And repeat the routine starting on the new long side of the ballroom.

man step, when to step outside or inside lady step
Man usually starts with Right Foot between Lady’s feet. Always after Progressive Chasse or Lock Step Man continues with Right Foot Outside.

Why the guitar music? - it distracts from following the movements
I'm sorry Emil to criticize this is not meant to be disrespectful you & your partners are beautiful dancers' L'm 86 years old next month still fit & active' my late wife & I danced for 50 years I learned to dance in England' I'm sorry but you are missing six steps the introduction to the quickstep is a Gentleman always starts on his left foot in ballroom dancing ' it should be forward forward sidestep to the left & close' I suggest that viewers watch other videos on youtube & they will see it being taught as I said no short cuts' as I said before ypu dance well but students beginning should be taught the correct way.

HI Eglis' I hate to do this but it really bothers mI put a comment on 3 months ago I was polite as were you' about you starting on the right instead of the left' look at every instructor on youtube you will see they start with the left' "m 86 years old & still dance I started in England when I was 12 years old' these pupils you teach are going to be confused in a ballroom because the men will start the left ' you are beautifu dancers just teaching wrong no offense intended.
Hello Leslie, I understand your concern. In all dance technique books (Howard, ISTD) we read that Mans starts Quarter Turn to Right with Right foot forward, and Lady with Left foot back. We can do of course preperation step before this Quickstep Basic. I do not see big problem here.
