LG Velvet has better details and more realistic pictures (even though it is on little bit warmer side) and the video recording and the low light shots are also better in velvet. Over all the velvet has better camera than the Nord.

The Nord has better blacks but in some examples the Velvet shows better color but I find more consistent detail and accuracy with the Nord. They are both decent cameras and I don't think anyone would be disappointed regardless of which phone you owned.

I have Pixel 4xl and Lg Velvet, in good light I can't see any differences between them, Lg Velvet looks very natural, not saturated, sharp and good dynamic range, maybe the pics are a little pale. In poor light Lg Velvet can handle good enough, the zoom is good, the wide angle is OK, Video is good enough. Selfie is not bad. (IMO). Thank for your work.

I personally liked the details and color science of Lg camera. They also look very Instagramish to upload without editing. None of these phones are on the level of V60 or One plus pro or Iphone 11 but for the price they are doing much better. I liked your comparison style. Very thorough.

I would very much prefer the LG colour profile but something is wrong with the dynamic range of the skies. It rendered the sky overblown which sucked so hard. Nord has unnatural detail retrieval and seems to sharpen the picture by contrast which i can do in post. Night shot looks like it has fake aperture for some reason. But nord has better overall dynamic range that it didnt blow up the sky. LG really need to improve that.

Those blurred shots seem like cheap shots... I loved the sundown quality in the lg velvet and the colours. At night one plus dominates, specially in video, there might be some small details here and there that the velvet does better, but my overall impression is that, I want to be able to see my memories, and the one plus, while not "accurate" in some aspects, they were clearer and brighter. The fact that the velvet costs more than double what the nord costs in the seevice provider where there are offering ir im my country... It's a no contest for me, mind you lg significantly improved their software and I'm not sure but in mh lg g7 the audio recording quality was something I han't seen since the pureview nomia/lumia era... And I doubt the one plus will be able to handle concerts the way the pureviews did, hadn't recorded any concerts with my lg g7 yet, but I had tried their high fi recording while in my car with loud music or in my house with loud speakers and it does make a big difference. Anyway... My two cents. Yours was a nice and quite useful comparison, cheers.

Honestly, the default settings are what you should use. That is what was used here in this comparison. If you want to test thing out in your own with the manual camera controls, there will be a bit of a learning curve. 90% of what makes a good photo is framing. Get that right and you're golden.

nope. the oneplus is wayyyy too contrasty, overshoots and oversaturates. no way. its camera AI just doesnt work well. also, its cpu and ram is severely lacking, so i would expect it to lag and stutter bigtime. its bottom of the barrel budget while the lg velvet is upper mid tier. also the velvet has a microsd slot. oneplus refuses to put any real features on their phones. they are literally on the bottom of my list along with iphone.

A yellow tint is to be seen in the velvet's pictures...Nord represents much more realistic pics,though not perfect. Nord gives a better exposure and dynamic range in still photos with its main sensor in the front camera. Velvet produces warm tones where as Nord to some extent gives a cooler tone to it's still pics as well as videos.
