I’ve done a duel mass flywheel and clutch on my mk6 TDI 6 speed manual golf on the driveway on axle stands without dropping the subframe, seems like a lot of extra work dropping the subframe but I do see the benefit of dropping the subframe when you have a DSG gearbox because it’s bigger and weighs a bit more, you could have also locked the overhead cam at TDC using a pin without removing all of the bottom timing covers and bottom pulley which would have saved you a lot of time, great DIY video that has a lot of useful information in it, will be watching more of your videos on this car, I have also done timing belt and water pump and head gasket on the driveway so will be interesting to watch you doing the belt and pump just to see if there’s any tips I could use next time!
My comment has nothing to do with this video but i need help! I have a 2013 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T I followed one of the videos from your old channel Did the timing chain, guides, sprocket, tensioner ect. I have a harmonic balancer wobbling issue. I reopen it to inspect and replace again the timing sprocket and a new harmonic balancer. Still with the wobble Please help 🙏
Please feel free to reach out to our technical team at service@fcpeuro.com and they would be more than happy to help get to the bottom of the issue you are experiencing!
Crazy seal install tool. I thought I was fancy with a deadblow hammer and one of the top-hat looking alignment tools.
