I am of Indian origin was brought up and educated in the UK. Lived there for 50 years and although I am grateful to my parents for taking me to the UK at a young, working hard to ensure my siblings and I had a good education and an abundant life, I have to disagree with your perception of the UK. Let me explain: most people outside of the UK, primarily Indians from India think we get "free" healthcare, we get money I.e., social benefits for "free", we get "free" housing etc etc. Let me tell you we do NOT! We pay in advance through heavy taxes for these so called "privileges", whether we use it or not. Most British would prefer a pay as you go system. So pay for healthcare when we use it. Also, we pay into pensions for many years for very little return. So how is this better than India or elsewhere? We always think the grass is greener than the other side. I don't understand why Indians want to go to the Western countries when in my experience India has so much going for it. You come to the UK and you are always treated as 3rd class citizens. You are made to work like dogs. You have far superior experience and education than your Caucasian colleagues and yet they receive far superior pay and are treated much better than you. Even as an Indian born and raised in.the UK. I also do not understand why Indians bow down to Caucasian people and treat their own people like sh*t! I've seen it where Indians provide a far better service to the goras and lick their a*se. Be proud who you, be proud of where you come from, make India great but don't forget India's history and what Gandhi fought for.
