If you want to shower your Enemy with Love...use the Mini Gun 😂
"I am Heavy Weapons Guy...and this [grabs Minigun] is my weapon. [lays both hands covetously on Minigun] She weighs one hundred fifty kilograms and fires two hundred dollar, custom-tooled cartridges at ten thousand rounds per minute. [looks intently at viewer] It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire this weapon...for twelve seconds."
In the early 70's I was a weapons mechanic in the Air Force. These were mounted in the nose of A37's. I always wanted to take one of these home. They were very simple and easy to work on.
I understand the CyberDyne T-800
model 101 is practically unstopable when armed with the M-134 as well.
Too bad he's a nice unit and couldn't kill a single person lol
The CyberDyne T-800 model 101 is more efficient when equipped with a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.. 💡🤔🤨😉

@@Hmongboi228hey, only whatcha see pal.
I've always loved this weapon being called the "minigun". What a misnomer lmao
Well, when you compare it to the M61 Vulcan and the GAU-8 Avenger, it's pretty dinky.
It's a lot smaller and more portable than the original rotary or Gatling gun.
I want a couple of these on my truck. One facing forward, one facing backwards, both on separate triggers on the steering wheel.
HEY! I was going to say that! L.o.l.
Here’s one right here
@@TheRockRock367 You forgot to give him the other one
@@seanbaskett5506 I don’t have another
@@TheRockRock367 He's gonna need another one if he's gonna drive thru Portland, Seattle, San Fran, Austin, anywhere in Idaho (just as a matter of good social etiquette, as we always recommend one front and rear), Minneapolis, Detroit, or Chicago. I therefore command thee to build him one so this may be possible
162 years later, the Gatling still lives!
"Best gun ever" - Ammo Manufacturers Assoc.
1:07 Good job, Dr. Gatling. edit: Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
Dr. Gatling is probably somewhat rolling in his grave knowing how prolific his invention became, lol!
I'm just picturing hours and hours at the reloading bench.
Happy 60th birthday to Minigun.
And that’s why I love miniguns
you too are a minigun
I loved using this in GTA
The M61A1 Vulcan that is installed in F15, F16, F18 is Hydraulically operated and electrically controlled 6000 rounds a minute. One of the most common mishap is failure of the Chutes.
We could use a couple for farrel hog hunting down here in Texas.
Yep, those feral hogs would probably get practically evaporated by this thing! 🤣
Given the rate of fire, you'll want to use lead-free ammo. Don't want to be poisoning cropland.
I sware every time i learn about an US weapon it's like "this weapon is several decades old and it's on its 85th variation, but it's still better than anything our enemies have, we have three million of them and five billion rounds of ammunition for it. It's planed replacement will be ready in 3050."
Not certain. Every infantry combat scenario the M134 Minigun always wins. The M134 Minigun is so fast that the enemy would not have time to take cover they are over before they can even spit.
when they mount it on the little bird you can really have some fun shooting that thing
I did it before 😅
I think a few of us are as fast as a minigun 😅
We don't need to know about your sex life😂😂😂😂
Did any of you attend the Houston Astrohall gun shows between 1987 and 1992? There was a Class III dealer who had a custom mount that held THREE MINIGUNS with one fire control system! It was quite remarkable. Only seven transferable Miniguns are on the books, and this guy had three of them. Interestingly, my friend sold one of those registered Miniguns for $50,000 at the time. The top Minigun had a different barrel group than the bottom two, but I'm not sure if that was for regulation purposes or simply what he could acquire. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to shoot it, but the concept was truly impressive. Back then, the setup was priced at $250,000, which would be considered a steal in today's market. However, as they say, hindsight is 20/20. Those were the days when you had to rely on someone's word without being able to fact-check easily. Class 3 firearms were a wild and innovative frontier, resulting in some truly remarkable creations. Looking back, it's a nostalgic and cherished memory. The guy mentioned that the Minigun had three speeds, approximately 1800, 3000, and 4800 rounds per minute. It was a different time. If you weren't alive then, it's hard to imagine the reliance we had on someone's word. Anyway, firing nearly 15,000 rounds per minute with a single trigger is bound to put a smile on the face of any red-blooded American! Thank you for joining me on this trip down memory lane. I apologize for any errors caused by my exhaustion. Best!
Just So Everyone Is Aware, I own one of these, and another very similar, I am a resident of Florida, Note: "You Loot, We Shoot"
This is a weapon made for war and nothing else. It's truly an impressive piece of weaponary.
Especially useful when you're trying to save Morpheus.
fire fights are so bizarre even when you think you’re winning you’re not sure… But I can promise you when someone opens up with a 50 you know you’re winning and when someone opens up with a mini gun or you get an AC 130 gunship or warthog doing its thing above you there ain’t no doubt about it..
I like the hand held version that large robots carry.
I really do love the videos from this channel but one thing I want to tell the creator that he should give credits for all the clips from movies or channels❗❗❗❗
As a former machine gunner 0331 USMC I would’ve loved to used this
Can it be upscaled to using an 105mm ammo?
"Old painless" is pretty effective....
...unless you fight a Yautya (also known as "Predator")
We had pairs of these mounted on pylons on our UH-!C Huey gunships. They were aimed and fired by the co-pilot. They were limited to 3 second bursts, and then you had to release the trigger to fire again. Each gun fired 2,400 rds. per min.
Not my favorite weapon, as they were prone to jamming. I preferred to fly our ships that had the 40mm belt fed grenade launcher mounted on the nose.
Used them on UH1-H aka Huey II, Dillon fixed the jamming issue and reworked the GCU, they simplified the feeder/delinker and it only had one button for timing as opposed to the old one and the GCU limited the rate of fire to 3000 rounds per minute. Only failures i had was due to faulty ammo (foreign made) could only use U.S. made for combat because it didn't fail.
1st world problems
May be useful for close-in Counter-UAS, esp. with tracer.
❤🤍💙 all your videos mate👍
Nice
Does anyone know if the Army (or any branch) saves the brass from these guns? I noticed that some had 'hoses' coming off the weapons and some did not. Are the hoses just to direct the spent ammo to fall out of the aircraft or are they collected and reused?
It looked, to me, that the hoses just directed the spent casings away from the aircraft. Soooo much wasted brass.....
It’s probably not worth it for the US Army to save the spent casings. Think about it; sure would might save some brass, but the effort to install catching pouch/boxes (which takes up precious space), and hauling them back to the facility would outweigh the benefits.
It still depends on the situations, however. In my time in the Thai Army, we were instructed to keep the casing spent in the range. This is because our supply line is much shorter so it doesn’t make a lot of logistical burden (and also saves a lot money on brass). That’s why some miniguns in the video have the catch and some not, as their region dictate if it’s viable to save the casing or not
Giant cubes of copper from the mine in Ely, NV have been transformed through time, labor, and money into once-fired brass littering Afghanistan and Iraq.
😁I hadn’t seen some of this Dillon Aero footage I took in years. We usually shot 100% tracer, specially at sunset. The MD500F was capable of 6000 rounds a minute (dual M134s). A challenge is the CG of the 500 changing as the weapons are fired and ammo weight disappears rapidly. The Dillon’s were always great people to film with. 👍
Good Ole AMERICAN invention !!!
the perfect stocking stuffer
It cost $400,000 to fire this weapon for 12 seconds
Edit: Thank you guys for the likes! 10 may not seem like much but for me its a new record!
WHO TOUCHED SASHA
WHO TOUCHED SASHA
Not bad
Im not too sure 400k for 12 seconds of fire is correct. That would mean each bullet would cost roughly 333.34 dollars each??? Maybe I'm missing something
@@ensomniiac Yeah your missing the reference. I was referencing the Meet The Heavy video by team fortress 2. Just letting you know if you want to check the video out.

I enjoyed the M21 Vulcan!

M61 Vulcan and GAU-8 Avenger: "That's cute!:"
Thanks to the inventor, Arnold Schwarzenegger could use it, in one of the most iconic scenes in the history of the cinema.
これで民間人はあまり撃ちたくないよな、あくまで兵士同士でやり合ってほしい
Wait, this a real weapon? I always thought it is just a funny over the top Hollywood idea that I saw in Predator and T2...😮
Lol
Used to go down to Eglin and get clearance to orbit a beacon to watch the Spookys out of Hurlburt train in the Eglin Ranges. Like watching a Laser Show!!!
Always like flying in and out of Eglin. Of course that was then. Like every thing else...someone has to ruin it...
Ukraine need it,perfect for Drone hunting.💪👌
Very useful for mowing down the jungle in pursuit of a disappearing predator
THATS A WEAPON! Thanks. John P.
America loves their rotary cannons
"It costs 400 thousand dollars to fire this weapon for 12 seconds."
would NOT want to be on the receiving end of that
The Angry Egg with a angry weapon!😂😂
damit kann jede Demo friedlich aufgelöst werden👍
You forgot to mention Puff the Magic Dragon...😎😎😎
Utterly beautiful destruction to ones enemy.
it has two speed settings, shoot fast, and "ALL"
Fred West was a beast too!
"They can defend against small boats and swimmers" , lol at this gun defending against swimmers!
God bless america.
I was reading a biography that was saying these would shake the helicopter more than the blade rotations.
I want one of these! Send it to Indonesia! 😉😁
The Minigun will make you keep your head down, that's if by the time you ducked you still had a head!! The Minigun is a small calibre motorised version of the Gatling Gun
Огневая мощь конечно колоссальная,но патронов надо вагон и маленькую тележку с собой таскать.
This is an awesome weapon, Sam, I believe you meant 7.62x51mm Nato, AKA {308 Winchester}, but said 7.62x57, we will overlook that, Thank you and U.S. Military News for another cool video, Happy 4th of July! 👊😎🇺🇸
Milley says they will now fire rainbow sprinkles at a fantastic rate.
God Bless Dillon
မိုက်တယ်ဟေ့
made the minigun out of paper and duct tape. now i too can start my terminator arc
Also used for border protection, huh? Maybe in other countries but definitely not at the U.S. border. There are only 3 things guarding the U.S. border, a 'welcome mat', sandwiches, & bus passes.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I want one...
Law enforcement with mini-guns? That's scary!
Send it to Chicago.
The Tarantula 🕷️in my basement doesn’t stand a chance muahaha 😈
The announcer was wrong. I can’t think of a single Gatling gun that is gas operated. Not one. The guy is wrong. They are either electric motor operated or hydraulically motor operated .
💪🔥👌👌
Arnold carried his to the office window to greet the police in T2.
00:03:51 Heck Yeah! Lean on that trigger!
I want one
Ukraine need that weapon
Unparalleled against troops and soft or thin skinned vehicles
How much is it's appraisal value
Law enforcement settings 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 what the hell they doin with a BTTTTTT
Now there are door gunners with high powered lasers they can shoot at armored vehicles
Test them on my neighbour. 😂😂😂
(2:22) I would assume groved barrel is a no, no: with that kind of G force; & tip must slightly be more inset, for merging point to be accurate. = better 6 shots at once, likely, but slower rate of spring hammerings.
😎😎😬😬((7:06)) glow is the G force trying to take a new course./!\
Lasor temp test the mm, until highest friction point: then star regulating it down to get your lengths.?..
🤔🤔🤞🤞Use carrier bearing like a long drive shaft: to shell in an tractors heat shield, for stability = Hass brown potato, holes will have to work on the shield as fins of a turbine. = Likely heavier then the tank version, for 1st prototype. = No shell casing and dual gears will pitch them faster, ((if you get the combo right)).
6:12 What is that?
Was that a southern accent i heard? around 5:41.
How much is ammo for 10 seconds of firing.
Use once with one box of ammo and then replace all the barrels
Did he say against “swimmers”?!
der beste Drohnenkiller für die Ukraine
Those new .30 caliber ones are not Miniguns in my book.
👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
"Popular in military and LAW ENFORCEMENT settings where intense firepower is required." Yeah, sure, its perfect for law enforcement purposes. 🚔
I have this Gun M134 installed in my Shower , it tickels
American always talk but no walk
If you had this in your shower, you would not be writing this, but would be hamburger meat by now.🤣😅😆
Novice question: can these fire incendiary rounds?
Very nice, how much?
Depends who you are. Military? ~$30K USD per unit direct from Dillon Aerospace, probably less if you are going to be buying a whole bunch, more if you are going to buy spares and support for them. Civilian? Hundreds of thousands of USD because there are so few in civilian hands.
