The A-10 Thunderbolt II, also known by its pilots as the Warthog or Hog.
The GAU-8 Avenger is an seven barrel Gatling gun in 30 mm caliber mounted on the A-10 Thunderbolt II.
The C-RAM/Phalanx CIWS (Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar) system and CIWS (Close In Weapon System) use a 20mm gatling cannon to destroy incoming targets.

I don't think you're supposed to see tracer flare when you're the one getting shot at. The big give away for me though was the moment the c ram shot its munitions didn't detonate after burning out. The land based C-RAM is supposed to have munitions that self destruct after some time so they don't rain down om some poor farmers parade

They did a killer job on the graphics and the entire thing really. Sound effects are good, maybe change them up a bit so not playing the same recording or whatever over and over that would help a bit. But the camera movement and basically all of it is a well executed layout for sure!! And I don't even like video games! So that's saying something LoL
Simulations are not video games, they are simulations. Even if some of them are available on PC or console (in my opinion)

I use to work in tree nursery near Fort Riley in KS. The target range was few miles away on other side of some hills. They’d fly low enough you could see insignia on helmets. And of course here the gun. it was so cool.

no, it doesn't. first of all, enemy troops do not have phalanx. and second, the phalanx would have destroyed the plane immediately.
And a warthog makes wayyyy more sound than that
The CRAM does not engage planes. As the name suggest - Counter Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar. The sound is very unique and once you hear it, you don't forget it.

The wild part is you only see the tracer rounds, just think there is about 10 rounds inbetween each of the tracer rounds!!
When I was over seas in the 90’s, every 7th round was a tracer. Not sure if it’s the same now.

This definitely looked real at the start
It is, the plane is firing real shots, so are the guns. You would know this if you knew weapons of war. Real shits are fired and looked like that. You think they would go faster but the ground has a small range to shoot from. So it looks slower when being shot. That explosion was real.

this reminds me of a GunRun i did in Arma 3 (which is this exact game) during a Custom Operation me and some lads set up 2 years back.
we were doing a GunRun on Cherno in a custom mission we made named "Operation: Reverse Polarization" where we sent a shitload of CAS and AS into Cherno to destroy a custom target made for that mission specifically, and i was flying the A-10 as well as 2 others that were in my corp. we were supported by two F-22's each, so 6 in total, and we had an AC-130 ready in case we needed to stay out of sight from any AA Platforms, as it would trip up the enemy if they still were hammered by heavy fire from above, even when the A-10's were going in a different Direction to the target.
during the operation, one of my teammates was shot down, and i had to cover his decent in the chute as well as the incoming Rescue Helo, and during that, i had to fire REALLY close to them to make sure i kept ground forces away, and it worked. but at one point, i was hit, and i had to either RTB or finish the job, and i chose the latter, which lead into what became the most AWESOME moment we have EVER created in any game before. i wish i had the video of it, but i dont. i am 100% certain i remember one of the guys recording the session, as well as the ZEUS Operator. if i find it, i will upload it, or get one of the guys to upload it, and link it here.

it's not a bullet, it's a tracer. Tracer can bounce off it but bullet would still penetrate it

Bullet could have lost energy and could not penetrate.
Hits at a shallow angle can just bounce off. Like skimming stones off the water's surface. I read that an F-86 firing at a Mig from the 6:00 position could hit at such shallow angles that they would not penetrate the Mig's side skins.
Makes me think that OperatorDrewski might be in the cockpit.

I did NOT see it said simulation on there and I thought this camera man was really just living on the absolute edge
It is remarkable how much lead is required to get one kill in this simulation. This reminds me of shooting trap with a fully choked barrel -- you need to anticipate where the target will be whe you fire, aim where the target will be by the time your lead gets there, and you need to be very accurate or you will miss the target completely.
