Thank you for putting up closed captioning on your showing how to paint the rocks so I finally understand how to paint several layers of colors I am deaf I appreciated that you wanted to help deaf artists understand. Good job! Yay!
Never heard of Byron before, I just went looking for tips on improving my rocks. That helpful list of tips was perfect, but... Dat sudden deluge of insightful and yet existential breakdown of the rock. Dat paradigm shattering interpretation of the sea. Dat worldview-shuffling commentary on life itself that then suddenly jolts right back into more tips for highlights on the rock. I came for the tips about painting rocks. I stayed for the soul paralysis I unwittingly imbibed, bracing objective truth while it screams for comfort, albeit wrapped firmly within a quilt of lanolin existentialism, showing me how time does not exist until we take our first step into the plane of actuallity, where we are time itself and are passing through the ether while simultaneously holding complete stillness in a universe that never began, yet both is currently and has already seen its end.
Ya but the end result is worth it... as seen in byrons painting of “the protector”... www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwi95Kjji5LqAhXKHTQIHeToDr8QwqsBMAF6BAglEAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fvimeo.com%2Fondemand%2Ftheprotector&usg=AOvVaw3FlW9pTnSnqNfTHF0UmSQ4
Thank you, after searching through videos for rock tutorials I found this one. So clearly demonstrated and the best instructions, brilliant ! I feel more confident now to proceed with enthusiasm.

After watching your video, I saw a dramatic improvement in the rocks I am working on in a painting of a cave I am doing. My rocks still aren't perfect, but I do appreciate your video. Thank you!
Thank you for this video. I loved your comments on how the sea puts our lives into perspective, and the music as well. These add a very magical touch to your already very insightful videos!
Beautiful rock, thank you for sharing! I struggle painting rocks from memory and realized that I just don’t know what they look like. Rock studies are in order! :-)
Byron I already bought the Protector and painted it!!!! LOVED it. I know artist have their favorite pallets (for cold and warm paintings) and I have not yet learned which goes with which. I always have trouble with Thalo blue, but I will review my protector video. thank you for your quick reply. as always, your friend, pam
Wow! That was amazing to watch. I can't believe how fast you did that!!! I am in the middle of a painting that has rocks and I just can't get them looking right. I will practice this technique and see if I can't get it down. These are the EXACT rocks I need for my painting. Thank you for taking the time to share this. :)
I love this. Thank you Bryon, for once again making it look so easy and making me think that I CAN do it. I wish you would do one of these showing your favorite pallet colors. I think choosing a pallet is the hardest part of a painting! what colors go with Thalo Blue for water and sky?
use No doubt I have not seen such an amazing rock yet, but I would like to ske you a qestion ... When you talk about the colors you talk about Taylor Blue and in the video you we see Patelo Blue, so what to use
This has been really helpful, sir! Just the right tutorial I've been looking for. Thanks for uploading :)) P.S. Love your choice of music! Calming and inspiring at the same time! Any more suggestions? :)))
Can you tell me what colors you use, ?? I know that the siena is present, and dark brown but those blue ones, how do you get them, with what mixtures? thank you I await your response. thank you.
I sadly cant have fun painting. I enjoy the results but thats it. Im a perfectionist, so having the imagination of how it should look but unable to make it happen disturbs me non-stop. I just feel satisfaction when its finally over and i realize all mistakes pretty much disappeared in the painting

Use the Thalo for a base and gray it the same way, with Burnt Sienna....whatever other colors you wish....palette is your choice! :o)
Pam, "The Protector DVD" has it all....89 minutes...a great investment if you're interested in the basic palette colors.
Thank you so much.
Thank you!!

Parabéns boníssimo.
What do you use to make it thinner?

Nice.
que lástima que no sepa inglés, me gusta como pintas.
I can't afford canvases but i can afford canvas paper sketchbooks. Are those good enough to bring a similar 'finish' or it won't?
Garnet Quartz it can work. Just use your titanium white paint with Ponal glue to prime the paper before you start.
which clrs u used ?
No video for more than one year. Does anyone have any news?
Muito bonito.
I get so frustrated with my rocks hope I can learn something from this tutorial
