Its probably because of what it means to him. If the Decepticon origins in this show are how they have been for the last few years instead of G1, then he started the Decepticons to break free from the oppressiveness of Cybertrons rulers and the caste system. It might have devolved into something horrible until he realised the error of his ways, but the original intent still holds meaning to him.
For a second I thought there would be fight over leadership between Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave but I guess they’re ok with Starscream leading them which is a bit odd even for Shockwave or as he would say, illogical.
I think it would be interesting if Shockwave was just playing along with Starscream to get what he wants. If I had to guess, I think Shockwave would most likely want to find a way back to Cybertron, and Starscream may have a way to help him. He could end up leaving Starscream once he is no longer useful, along with Soundwave, which makes sense since I don't think Starscream is going to be the main villian of the season.

There is a complete 180 in the animation between the trailer and this leak. The Trailer stills keeps the artsyle, but the animation drops to Megamind 2 levels. Feels like I’m watching a low quality Dreamwork’s show. This leak however has the great animation form season 1. Examples include Shockwave sliding across the battlefield with his tank treads, Skywarp’s teleportation, Jawbreaker and Elita being chased by Skywarp and Skywarp being thrown by Jawbreaker.
It’s not a leak, for the 40th anniversary of the franchise they repaired the original pilot of G1. This Earthspark clip was a bonus for those who watched it.

Headquarter aren't here anymore so no more training inside the G.H.O.S.T. Headquarter training room since they don't wear their G.H.O.S.T. badge anymore on them.
