When washing whites: you could get a greater & greater the cake soap in the washer then add your white clothes with bleach/ oxi clean stain remover & a little laundry soap then wash. Thank me later 🙂
You could put the washer beside the dryer, and put the washing machine hose in the wash tub so the water can run out.
You get a set of wall selves from Amazon. Add a plant and a wall decals. Nice mat. Get the adhesive clip thing for the broom and mop. 🎉🎉
Consider covering up the exposed wire with molding. I'm impressed with appliances from Courts. They seem to be reliable if you buy well known, good brands. If you wait for a sale, you can get a good discount. Call me old fashioned, but I will ALWAYS buy a top loaded washer in Jamaica. Lasts forever, easy to find parts and a technician to repair it. When you try to be too modern, sometimes it can be a problem in the future. 🙂 Island life is cool when you get used to it. Yes you are correct, something always delays projects, so how I deal with that is always have several projects running concurrently so when one stalls out, just pivot to another one. From my experience, if you keep arguing with people and comparing them to North America, everyone will see you as miserable and not want to help you. Take time to learn the difference between when you should stand up for your rights and when you should just chill. I grew up in Mandeville, it's not the most progressive and cutting edge part of Jamaica, stop trying to make it into what it is not. Adapt to the culture, relax and enjoy Jamaica! It's freezing in Canada right now.
You're so right about a top-loading washer. These are things we all take for granted. I moved from my mother's house and regret having the front-loading one. It cannot take comforters etc,, the loads are smaller so you waste more water and time, and to me, it doesn't clean as good as my mom's tried-and-true top-loader. My Granny had one as well. Should've followed in the tradition! LOL
Correction about the washers and dryers in Jamaica, they have multiple choices of washers and dryers large and small, whirlpool, Samsung you name it, my mom bought ours in court .

Nice vlog as usual. Be careful not to get the the touch screen panel of the washer wet since its close to the sink. They tend to go bad when water gets in
I've used the green Downy unstoppable. It smells nice. I add it to the water then add clothes to wash

I always use baking soda on white and colored and a tip of vinegar, but I also use the blue soap and give a quick pre wash and scrub brush just too lift up the dirt... thanks for sharing cause i am in process of purchasing a new washer in J.A and always forget dat the voltage is different 🙏🏾💙
I have the same issue with my washer but I used a long drain hose from a different washing machine and just attached it to mine.
From what I understand, the blue downy (unstoppables) is for when you want your clothes to smell fresh until you wear it or use it and the pink one is just to help get rid of odors. I never tried both at once so maybe you're on to something.
I also just grate the blue soap in with my water, detergent and oxi clean and then use the soak cycle on my washer...perfect whites even on really dirty clothes! Don't have to do any scrubbing unless you really have some caked-on dirt.

It may be better to spend some additional money up front for good quality products than to buy low quality products that may cost more to maintain in the long run.

Buy the blue bomber, it’s the best. Not big on a good smell, but your other products (detergent, fabric softener, etc.) will help to boost the scent

LOL sis I cracked up at you in the store. Downy is a fabric softener and the other one you held up was a detergent. I see things like that in JA and US as well and will buy and try once I look it up and find out it's good. That washing detergent is good, esp the powdered one. When I don't know the language, I look up the packaging, use context clues (like the photos and the type of packaging) and ask. Google is your friend sis, and I've watched your videos. I can see some folks dont listen when Annesha speaks. She clearly stated that she lives in an apartment and needs her dryer to dry her clothes. She stated "Im not gonna hang my clothes to dry here!". This makes sense to me. Some folks just love to criticize. People are free to do/buy what they desire. Ms Adams I enjoy your vlogs. Only the residents of Jamaica can change some of the way things are done there. Most folks that live there are accustomed to it. The system is not modernized with technology...it is archaic. Hello Annesha, was a hose connector supplied with the washing machine? You could use duck tape wrapped round hose and pipe temporarily. Some people bore holes through top of the hose and pipe and feed through
wire to stabilize. I tried to be helpful Michael
That happened to my dryer 2. Not the same brand but Ntn was wrong with it. It had a small hose so water could come out. I didn’t put the hose on tho my friend fixed it for me. Thought mine was broken 2 I was so mad.

You should be able to get a longer drain hose.
Dryers with the steaming option have to be hooked up to the pipe.

While using vinegar and baking soda together does nothing to your clothes...one is a low PH and the other is high...they cancel each other out...use separately for better results with your detergent...it enhances your detergent for a cleaner fresher smell...beads are used also to enhance the smell...it looks like you have two different brands and fragrance....I love to smell fresh laundry💞

In the meantime just tape the drainage hose to the wall because the hose might drop out and wet up the place. Use clear tape so it's not noticeable.

You're not carrying the washer and dryer with you when you move?
The water level is determined by the amount of clothing you put in the machine. I suggest that you read the manual and instructions on how to add soap etc. You will waste more energy and water the way you are doing your laundry.
I bought that Downy fabric softener about last week (didn't even realize that it's in a different language😂). They were selling it stuck together with another scent that I usually purchase so I bought both for $650 in Christiana. First time buying it but it doesn't seem to smell bad. Haven't used it yet though because I still have some suavitel as I purchased the jug for 1000 sumu dollars.

When it comes to Jamaican homes and rentals overall they don’t pay attention to details and layout of things and the aesthetic’s. Even A lot peoples house they own and built it was built little by little as they got money and just add ons so it doesn’t always flow when you walk in. And if your not there watching the workers do the job simple things that are permanent once put in like how high or low the shower head is installed, or putting pattern tiles in correct pattern order, where they put the wiring for the light bulb and light switches, your laundry room perfect example…they the cheap hired workers Do Not Care!!! 🤦🏾♀️

Both Downy products are scent boosters, they are to make your clothes smell good. They are the same.

Hi Annesha do not mix bleach baking soda and vinegar to wash your clothes , the products combine are too strong to inhale and will damage your clothes overtime. I use tide with downy all in one laundry detergent and oxy for whites to wash my whites . I love your you tube Videos BTW .keep up the good work.🙏🏽❤️🌹

As for the idea "why we got to be scared to come where are born", because a person was born in Jamaica does not necessarily make them entitled to have an affluent life here. There are plenty of poor North Americans and Europeans living in crime ridden areas in their home country. I'm not saying the crime situation shouldn't be fixed, but I don't know where this idea came from that just because a person is Jamaican, they have a God given right to have a rich life here. Work hard, get a good education and compete for resources just like you do in the wealthier countries. Jamaicans are very fortunate and we need to realize that and stop comparing ourselves to the richest countries on the planet.
