- Holy crud do the stock Katar wheels hook up!!! Snuck in a 6s feeler run with my daughter Angie's new V3 Talion. Found my droop screws needed some slight adjustment/tightening as the arms extended past the shock rod ends from the factory. Also raised the rear shocks to the upper/high position on the tower. Definitely impressed with this speed demon so far. Didn't go too crazy as I wanted to keep her in one piece for Angie's first dirt bash...Lol. She's going to LOVE this rig no doubt. Shout out to Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA as well as Voltage Hobbies for your awesome upgrades!!!

I didn't expect those tires to hook up and perform that well tbh, just goes to show that they have been paying attention and putting the time in to get it dialled 👌 we have some v2 typhons and some v3 outcasts in stock here at the mo!! Soo tempted to jump on one of them, which would you recommend? Spares are pretty thin on the ground here still.........really want a v3 kraton but not in stock for a few months yet, if they ever turn up that is 🤣😂👌👍

Awesome first bash bro love the talion! It's the only one I don't have other than the senton and your making me have the itch for a new rc in the family for sure. I have had pretty good luck with the rpm wingmounts on my rigs but the stock HD wingmounts also held up just fine for a while before some brutal landings. Bash on bro can't wait to see some more videos!

Fitting the V2 wingmount on regardless of looks or wind drag. Just makes more sense to protect the truck better for bashing. Angie 😍 D tried the stock wheels on 4s and basically smoked me drag racing the Outcast on 6s 😱....Lol!!! She's loving her new ride 😂😂. It's my new favorite truck. I'm impressed with how good it is out of the box.ive had mine for several weeks now and I haven't touched it other than to put T-BONES on it. I've gotten lots of big air and haven't had anything break yet🤞
The only plans I really have for it is a pinion swap I was thinking 16 tooth , it looked really good with the 18 but I run in the grass alot. I can't wait to see what you do to it, thanks for the great videos and keep up the good work ✌️😎👍

I have to say the new stock servo mount is going really well for me . Im running 19ish kgs through it with no problems so far . Agreed with huge kg servos there may be a issue .. the voltage ones are amazing. My outcast has just been killer running 35kg and the voltage servo mount and clamps 😎😎.

OHHH the wing mount!! HAHA I feel your pain brother! I lucked out and found one on ebay that was removed from a new V3 Talion. I'm gonna try my best to get at least one strong bash without breaking it! I tried a regular wing mount but it just bugged me b/c it looked too much like an E-Revo. Blah! lol But you're right, it would at least have more flex. Glad to see the vid man, She flies awesome! 👊
RC DUDE81 thanks so much brother!!! I thought of you almost immediately...Lol😂😂. I remembered a simple trick to reinforce the stock mount. Take off the rear bolts and slip in some Hot Racing or other 3M aluminum spacers. They slip into rear wingmount holes and with longer bolts grab the plastic much better. Seems like the mount is splitting around the bolt rather easily. We're probably going to swap to the V2 wingmount regardless. Absolutely LOVE this Talion brother!!! 🙋🙋😲😲😲😵😵😱😎💪💪💪👊👊

very interesting rig how similar would you say it is to the kraton? do you think its worth to get if i already have the kraton 6s v5 or should i look at something like the outcast or mojave?
It's got a different weight distribution, handles far better, and screams like a gazelle 😍. Definitely quite different from the Kraton. Fly's like a bird too. 😎💪👊👊

Bob Raven thanks brother 👊!!! Both are Killer rigs👌. I usually swap pinions to a 16T Robinson Racing Extra Hard and run a Tbone Basher Typhon bumper and RPM rear skid. Generally tune the diffs right away also. I just did a Kraton 6s upgrade vid a few weeks that might be helpful. The upgrades...etc..are universal among the different 6s rigs. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

I wanna make this thing into a "racing" kraton gonna get some traditional looking truggy tires and wheel from duratrax and the new finnisher body for the kraton that jconcepts just released the body looks sweet. Its funny too because I was talking with my boy about how i wish somebody made a traditional style truggy body just for the kraton and no more than an hour later i'm looking on instagram and BAM i see the finnisher kraton body from jconcepts lmao. Gonna keep the original body and a set of paddles for when I bash at my sand quarry spot. Sorry for the long reply I tend to get carried away when i'm excited lmao. Keep on keepin on brother!

Did your raise your punch settings? Mine doesn't wheelie much. I raised mine to 5,thinking about raising it to 7.
Frederick Todd think I'm at either 7 or 9. I normally run 9 on all my Arrmas, but the Talion is officially my daughter Angie's 😍. If you up the center diff fluid to 200K and gear up 16-18 tooth, you should wheelie even at speed on harder throttle. Putting a wider tire on like Proline Shockwaves makes it wheelie on command very easily. 😨😨😨🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Have you sealed the breather holes in the wheels, just to help the balance of the tires ?

Nice RC buddy- I’ve got a standard Talion as I can’t get the motor loosened to remove the pinion gear, in order to fit the 20t which came with the beast. Standard gear is just 13t and I’ve owned the Talion now for roughly 4 or 5 months. It’s still pretty quick but I’m used to it now. Want to fit the 20t pinion but should a purchase a butane flame gun thing off eBay then heat the screws up to remove them?? I could perhaps get a dremel and cut a slit in both screws to loosen the motor then do the same to the pinion gear screws. Tia Ben
Hey Ben. Sorry I missed your message. Hopefully you got yourself a good butane torch. They're a must in our hobby. I use the cheap Harbor freight one, works brilliantly with quality Butane. 😎💪👊👊
Your videos blow my mind, keep it up! I’m new to RC and I want to add a tough truck for bashing, I have a 4x4 Slash that I’ve bashed and broke a bunch and feel it’s time. Should I get an Arrma, Pro MT, or MT410? I’m a believer in Rich Duperbash so whatever you say goes.

Normally I'd say get a V3 Kraton or Outcast 6s for overall performance, capability, durability, and aftermarket parts support. Realize that Arrmas parent company Hobbico filed for chapter 11 almost 2 weeks ago. I personally think Arrma will continue strong, but everyone has to make decisions that make sense for them... just giving that FYI. The MT410 is a great basher, but very pricey indeed. Parts aren't cheap either. The Proline is FUN, but you already have a 1/10 scale. Get a bigger 1/8th and you won't look back...Lol!!! Good luck with your choice. To me the Kraton is a must have all purpose BEAST.🙋🙋😲😲😲😨😵😎💪👊👊

Hey Luke 🤗. Not sure Kenny with Voltage Hobbies is still in business. He made some great 6s upgrades, many I still use to this day. M2C Racing has largely taken over with far more upgrade options machined in house. 🍻

I've found the shrouds do their job great keeping crap out, but I gear my rigs tall and had overheating issues. Temps tend to rise 15-20+F when I'd run the Dusty Motors. Actually went into thermal shutdown at least twice. Appreciate the tip though my friend!!!🙋🙋😲😲😲😵😎💪👊👊

How do you really clean your rcs? Regarding that quote at the end of the video “give it a bath”. I’ve been trying to find a way that prevents the most rust possible, and uses the least amount of water. Thanks in advance
Robert Frazer I often just dry clean my RCs with the air compressor, rags, toothbrushes with normal bashing. When mud bashing or otherwise funked up with gunk, I water rinse my RCs front and rear with the wheels removed. I then spray either 50/50 Simple Green and water or use Awesome Oxygen Orange sprayed everywhere but on my electronics. Only let it sit for maybe 2 minutes, then rinse off. I then use my leaf blower and or air compressor to blast dry. Also wipe dry/clean as needed. I spray the bearings, hingepins, and CVDs with Silicone spray and then run the car in the street to work out any remaining water on the rig or in the wheels. PS, I vent all my tires and plug the rim holes so they can't hold/trap water or dirt.😎💪👊👊

Gabriel Abdo anything heavier than the stock 100K center fluid will help transfer power to the rears. I'm running 200k center in both the Kraton and Talion and dig it. Some run 300-500k. I've been happy with 50/200/20k front to rear in my Kraton and plan on running the same in the Talion for starters.🍻😎💪👊👊

I could get away with it during winter with stock tires, lighter Badlands 3.8, and Shockwaves. It's still quite fast on 4s with 18T. I'll likely be dropping down to 16T here soon as ambient temps are hitting 100F. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Just got my Talion, its a beast, and so ruggedly constructed, however.....the 2 motor mounts have been so factory tightened that they've completely seized. Not an issue exclusive to arrma, I have a couple of Losi sct's with the exact issue. Ran my talion a few times, enough to fall in love with it, interested to know if yours is the same
pintius5 yes indeed my friend 😂!!! Arrma had used red thread locker for some fasteners in the past. They took major heat from bashers feedback and went to medium strength, blue locker. That said, you need to really heat up the 3 motor mount chassis screws until the locker basically melts, prior to removal. I use a pretty high powered soldering gun and wait until I can smell it burning. Some use a mini torch or lighter. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

How does it feel rich?? It looks so hooked especially turns at high speed! Most people that watch would think the jumps are the greatest art but i find the berms the hardest part to judge! Coming of a jump then hitting a berm at high speed to enter the jump coming out of the berm is alot of skill!! Im taking your advice and getting outcast roller i found one for 320 us dollars so 400 for me!! Its better than 800 dollars hear for new rigg!! That was some sweet bashn as always bro v3 looks like a knife cutting threw the air resistance!! In air and on the ground! I think i will get the new body for my talion!😎😉🖒👍💪

It hooks up nasty with those stock Katar wheels, even in wet/muddy and otherwise slick conditions and literally soars off the jumps. It's definitely the fastest Arrma I've driven, about as fast as the Typhon with really good tires perhaps, but much more stable. It was pretty challenging not to overshoot the berms...Lol 😱, especially cuz I just wanted to peg that throttle 😵😵😨 I have it geared 18 tooth so Angie can still reach good speeds on 4s, but on 6s I had to really feather it. ARRMA did very well with this sleek design no doubt. That's awesome about the roller bud!!! I'm going to try and get an accurate weight on my Outcast Hybrid vs my Outcast. I took my Tailon out today with the 18t pinion and 200,000 center diff oil. Wow! way more power to the rear wheels! So much so , I ripped the rear tire almost off the wheel. Got some sweeps coming. You look like you are running good too. Now, why did you raise the rear shocks.
Frederick Todd I raised the shocks to closer match the front shock angle and for easier shock stroke off jumps. It's all personal preference really. Also vented my tires and covered the rim holes. That helps keep water and dirt from getting sucked in or air for that matter. Vented tires are far less prone to failure. 😎💪👊👊

I'm running 50/200/20k front to rear diff fluids with a 16 or 18T Robinson Racing Extra Hard #1216 or #1218 pinion depending on my wheels and the ambient temperatures. I generally gear to 16T in the summers cuz it gets 100-108F here on average. The stock wheels are the fastest, but I also enjoy the Badlands 3.8, Backflip LP's, and even the Proline Shockwaves. Paula wilson they're all AWESOME RCs. The Kraton and Outcast have more shock travel and bigger wheels. They're really better suited for rougher all purpose bashing. You can't make a bad choice, but need to decide if you want a longer chassis vs the wild SWB Outcast 😨. The longer Talion and Kraton are better for really high speed bashing, much more stable for mid-air control. The Outcast is better for easy wheelies, flips, etc. Hope this helps.🍻🙋🙋😲😲😲😵😵😎💪👊👊
