100 GRAMS OF PROTEIN IN A SALAD?!

- As a plant-based eater, you have to get creative with your meal prep ideas for a healthy dose of calories, carbs, protein and fiber. In this recipe, I wanted to focus on all four of those nutrients to create a solid post-workout meal. This can even be used as a "pasta dinner" meal option the the night-before you have a strenuous fitness activity the following day. I also gave you guys TWO dairy-free creamy dressing options to include in the recipe!

INGREDIENT LIST
TOFU: Organic, non-GMO Silken Tofu
DRESSINGS: (measurements for my meal)
----1 Cup Silken Tofu
----1/2 Cup Red Wine Vinegar or Balsamic Vinegar
----1/4 Cup Olive Oil
----Combination of Crushed Pink Sea Salt, Crushed Black/Red Pepper, Garlic Granules, Onion Granules, Rosemary, Oregano
----Fresh Squeezed Lemon
----Pinch of Organic Raw Sugar
GREENS:
----Red Leaf Lettuce
*All ingredients used in this recipe are organic

HOW I ACHIEVED 80 GRAMS OF PROTEIN FOR THIS MEAL:
5 Cups of Organic Semolina Farfalle = 6g's per cup = 30 Grams
2 1/2 Cups Organic Chickpeas = 12g's per cup = 30 Grams
1/2 Cup Silken Tofu x2 = 10g's per cup = 20 Grams

Exactly the videos I need!! My husband is trying a plant based diet with me, but I need to step it up because he's losing weight and that's the opposite of what he wants!
Looks really yummy! Silken tofu is the bomb. But trust me, you gotta get yourself a good chef's knife. I got one as a gift and it changed my life. It cuts sweet potatoes like buttah. That perring knife is really only good for things you hold in your hand while cutting them, like de-stemming strawberries or peeling an apple.
Everyone who has this loves it - including me. So delicious. Wish I had known the recipe was in the description. Hoping to see more recipes like this.

This looks great! My boyfriend is in the process of trying to bulk up so I'm going to switch this out for the lunches I make him right now. You could also use cashews if you have a soy allergy or want a nuttier flavor. Hemp seeds would be good to use too because they have all of your omega needs. Great video!

Today my parents went on a little date and I made some food(corn, sweet potato, broccoli, carrots) and used "meat" from gardein. I feel so much better when I eat vegan food

I would love to make this..but quick question I don't work out too much I go to the gym about 5 days a week and get a moderate amount of workouts done enough to burn about 400 calories a day. How many grams of protein should I be in taking? I'm 5"4 150 lbs trying to get down to 130

Is there a difference between silken tofu and regular tofu? This looks amazing!!
Ashley Mova yes silken tofu is just a much softer version of tofu as opposed to firm or extra firm versions. Great way to add plant protein to smoothies, dressings, sauces, dips etc. 🤘🏼

Brett, what tips would you give me that wants to transition but lives in a community where there are bbq's every weekend and not only that I have a very limited palette I really don't like many foods since I've only grown up eating Mexican food all my life.

You were made for this Brett :). I commend the amount of effort/energy you put into making these videos and informing us. The tofu dressing is really smart. I'm trying to go vegan (2nd time trying :/) but I think that tip i such a nifty hack that I won't give up my goal. You've shown me there are loads of ways to 'hack' veganism and eat tasty food whilst give yourself the nutritious meals that we need. Thoughts about how much tofu we should be consuming? Different for males and females? My concern is the estrogen factor & how that may or may not relate to health issues.
Jessica Jakobson the estrogen in soy is a phyto estrogen, so plant estrogen and it really doesn't have the effect on out bodies that we have been scared into believing! Soy does effect some people though, what I would do is introduce soy in small amounts and see how you feel! Good luck 💕

I watch the vlogs and see some of the meals, but as a new vegan, I've found it hard to get enough calories in for the day, especially when I'm trying to build muscle.

I'm starting to transition into a vegan lifestyle!I grew up eating meat, but over the past couple years I stopped eating all red meat without evening realizing it, and now I've been getting more vegetarian meals without even meaning to. It's just that even though I only eat chicken, crab and salmon, I've just been really getting grossed out by meat lately. The past few times I had chicken it just always put a funny taste in my mouth- plus dairy makes me sick and processed foods are the reason I gained weight a while back.
So it's always dope to see recipes and informative videos like this ✊🏼🤙🏼

You could try zucchini or celery if you don't mind that crunchy texture. Or broccoli??

mlayne130 I have OAS oral allergery syndrome so its the ragweed im allergic too therefore i cant eat the cucumber or zucchini etc but im going to research some more options bc this looked sooo good!! Thank you for your advice :)

Nice video! I'm on day 3 of eating plant based. Can you and Carli do a video telling all the changes you have noticed with your body since being vegan? You guys have been doing it for over a year right? So maybe the benefits you have noticed over time and noticed immediately? That would be awesome!
I want to drink muscle milk because it has 50g of protein per serving and eating this salad “CAN I do this” and is it sustainable long term surpassing a 3 month length period?
