    I'm a first-year student at an osteopathic school and I never even considered (or really heard of) PMR, but after watching the video and the genuine personality and professionalism of Dr. Zaffarkhan, this speciality is now officially on my radar! Thanks for making this video Rachel

    Was just accepted into a DO school a few weeks ago. Waiting on a response from an MD school. This interview was very cool and makes me excited for my future no matter what school I go to. Pumped to treat patients!!

    Shout out to all the osteopaths!
    This physician really understands and breaks down of what makes a DO a great physician.

    Another great video! PM&R is one of the specialties I'm considering going into but haven't gotten the chance to shadow any docs. It's super cool to get more insight through one of your vids ❤

    Hi Rachel! I love your videos and have been following you since your MCAT journey. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind uploading an every rotations tips video and what resources you used to help with shelf exams and which were not so helpful?

    As an Australian, and not having a medical background, I really didn’t understand many of these terms you were using 🤔 It was still a really interesting video, though 👍

    There was an MD that responded to an AOA post the other day, Dr. Sonny G (Garcha I think) and he said that DOs have been misleading the public, that we participate in chiropractic medicine, we don't have "adequate credentials", and that DOs attend osteopathy school, not medical school. I am so disheartened by this comment because I've worked so hard to get into medical school. Is this what I will be faced with once I'm in rotations and/or done with school?

    • @RachelSouthard
      @RachelSouthard  ปีที่แล้ว +14

      That’s so unfortunate. There are a few people out there like that still, but the majority of people realize that DOs are equivalent to MDs aside from the OMT.
      Don’t worry about it. The two letters behind your name do not define the kind of doctor you are. 🙂 ultimately, you learn the same material, go on the same rotations together, and the residencies have been merged. So…🤷‍♀️

    Hello Rachel, hope you've been doing well. Any advise on which core rotations to schedule first if not interested in primary care, and considering a procedural field (surgical or non-surgical)? Thank you for your input.

    Ok it’s fine that DO is holistic but also the big elephant left unsaid is that DO schools are much easier to get into than MD schools… resulting in prejudice against DO degrees. So I think it’s hiding the big truth that DO and MD are NOT viewed equivalently by the medical establishment

    • @RachelSouthard
