- Every Harley Davidson is different so if you have a Fat Boy, Soft Tail, Sportster, Electra Glide, Street Glide etc. you may have to do some research on your particular #harleydavidson year and model.

I have a 2005 fxdli low rider I bought a new cover didn’t know how to put it on! Thank you I do now.
Glad it helped
Thanks for stopping by and watching 👊
i have an 07 Dyna FXDC wich is the Super Glide Custom , i reseached the location of the battery prier to replacing it ,i just love researching stuff on TH-cam haha great video 👍
Really appreciate ya stopping by to watch and comment Bill
Glad ya enjoyed it 👊🔥
You probably saved me like half day of kicking and screaming at my bike trying to remove the battery 😅 thanks
Glad to hear it worked out
Thank you for your video. I was about to cry to figure it out!
You are welcome.
Glad I saved you from crying.
thanks for explaining the relief - lip on the cap/lid. I was watching an R+R video for Camry Prius battery pack and they said that shaking/vibrations are the worst, most detrimental to battery life. It shakes the chemicals off the batty plates, causing premature failure.
I’m glad you got something out of it.
Appreciate you taking the time to comment.
@@Angry_Boomer Dear ABoomer - Your instructions were concise and covered all considerations ; such as the sequence of tightening the 2 bolts at the ignition switch . Thanks again. Much appreciated.
I have a FXDLI -05 and I had the same problem to access the battery, now I know how to do. Why isn't this operation described in either owners handbook or service manual. Thanks for an excellent video Bjorn
Yeah they leave the finer points out of the manuals unfortunately.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👊🔥
Really appreciate it Bjorn.
Great video! My battery's dead, so time for a replacement. I have the SAME IDENTICAL bike, down to the paint scheme, only mine is carbureted. Also have my service manual, but appreciate the video. 👍
Hey brother really appreciate you taking the time to comment 🔥
I love my bike - it is like a brand new bike for the price of new- only 3,200 miles 🔥
Funny I have told many people that I wish the owner didn’t upgrade to fuel injection- love the sound of a carbureted bike idling
@@Angry_Boomer right? Mine only has 12500 miles on it...
2005 FXDL.
Thx👍
No problem
Thanks for watching and commenting 👊🔥
Thank you was very helpful this video
You are welcome
Heck yeah great video. I also have a Socket set like that. It's very handy. have a great day cheers
Thanks as always Brother 🤙👊🔥 And keep the topside of your dealio up ☝️
On my '03 dyna, battery cover so tight I use a puddy knife to insert on top of cover then it can be pried outward for removal! One thing I hate is battery wiring works better putting negative wire on first, but I like putting negative wire on last!!
I’ll have to add a puffy knife to my bag lol
Thanks for watching and commenting
Thx thought video very good and helpful see your tender cable and going to move mine thx again
Thanks for the feedback Chuck 👊🔥
Appreciate ya!
I had a 2002 low rider .. traded it in for a street bob .. wish I kept the low rider.. I thought it the better bike .. it was stunning in red and silver .. god I miss that bike 😢
Thanks for sharing.
Yeah I’d be upset if I had to part ways with mine!
@deantaylor1512 that red and silver was one of the best color combinations of any low rider ever made, just my opinion.
@@mike7197 absolutely and trust me I wish I still had it .. at that time not many came over to the Uk .. just a handful and I got the last new one available…only sold it for the six speed box of the street bob .. but then they became available for the earlier models..could have even put a kicker on it … stupid me 🤪
@deantaylor1512 thanks for sharing, I thiink we've all made mistakes selling bikes we wish we would have kept only to live with the regrets. I've done it many times, as I've gotten older I've learned my lesson not to be hasty parting with things I've invested so much time and $$ into. I came close to selling an old super glide of mine a few times and now glad I didn't, have decided to never sell it, no regrets. Cheers to you across the pond.

Great job good information 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Jonesy 🤙👊
Really appreciate ya droppin’ in- thanks for your support 👊🔥
Yep, this Boomer lost the battery lid to my 2004 Wide Glide somewhere along the road I guess. What's weird is that I didn't notice it missing until it came time to remove the dead battery, even though I hand wash the bike all the time. I stressed out for a couple of days looking all over the garage thinking I must have just misplaced the damn thing. Eventually ordered a new one from RevZilla.
Haha!
Yep Boomers have a lot in common including looking for things over and over even in the same places when clearly it’s gone for good.
Also us Boomers use proper punctuation when texting!
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. It means a lot.
Hope to post something useful for you again sometime.
Very interesting
Thanks!
Nice chrome cover. Yes Harley should have done a better job. Just looks to bulky. Sweet ride
Thanks for watching bro🔥
would you have to do all of that to jump the bike?
I’m betting yes on that one lol 😂
I wouldn’t attempt jumping it through the battery tender wire because it probably wouldn’t handle the amps and would melt
But it’s pretty easy and fast once you know what holds it in just two bolts and I’m betting there’s a spot where you can stash a small ratchet just for that
I remember the batteries being under the seat much easier in my option
Yes totally easier
Thanks for stopping in and commenting
don't have to take the bottom bolt right out but nice job
Thanks for the pointer!
it's so easy really not that hard
Totally easy
