I heard this one before. The amount of people that were against op is horrible. Imagine telling a woman who was r@ped that she needs to step up and be in said child's life. The misandry needs to stop.

Hear me out. Maybe just maybe men and women look at SA and grape definitely biologically

Most men in women don't look at SA or grape the same way when it happens to men, and that comes from biology

I'm 100% on OP side why should a victim of grape be forced to have a relationship with a child from that traumatic event OP don't listen to family if you don't want to meet the kid don't tell them to go away

First story: while I am glad that things kinda worked out between OP and his child, I think that his parents should've respected his wishes and kept them separated when he asked. I understand that they want grandkids and the child isn't to blame, she is still a reminder of SA and OP's wishes of not contacting her are perfectly valid. They could have helped her financially or met her, but that doesn't mean that they should have forced her on him

That first one made me cry. It started out so horribly, the poor guy. Being attacked sort of ruined his life. I don’t want to call him ruined but yet he hasn’t been able to recover or have love in his life so, kinda yes? I don’t know what the right thing to say is that isn’t offensive. Anyway such a sad situation all around. It sounds like that woman was someone who couldn’t get someone any other way but to steal it. How disgusting. She obviously died alone without a partner so I’m assuming as much. So she assaulted a man because she couldn’t get one otherwise. She’s no better than men who do that, she should have been in prison. The double standards are horrible. I do understand why OP’s mom decided to see her but she shouldn’t have pushed her son to see her. It seems as though it may turn out ok in the end and two lonely people might end up family after all and have someone to care for-even though the way it happened was so wrong. I hope they end up happy and begin a healing journey together. This world can be a lonely uncaring place when you have no one and parents don’t live forever. Hopefully now they’ll have each other and turn a negative into a positive.

Story 1: I hate how OOP's feelings are discarded so easily by his parents just because they want access to a grand-daughter. Add that bit of misandry into the mix and this is a toxic mix.

Please get into some kind of therapy. This is a crazy mess I don’t think anyone is capable of handling. Whatever winds up happening, you need someone unbiased in your corner.
Stick to written correspondence. Please be careful, and please get some more support!

I sympathize with OP I really do.
But at the end of the day he shouldn’t gatekeep his parents from forging a relationship with there grandchild
He doesn’t have to have one but he shouldn’t expect others to do the same.
    (But idk maybe I’m wrong)

Should a woman be able to "gatekeep her parents from forging are relationship with their grandchild" if it was the product of rape?
      If yes, then same applies.

Why should OP be forced to meet a kid he was forced into having because of r**e just because OP is a man doesn't mean he has to meet the kid if he doesn't want to and his parents can accept the fact he doesn't want anything to do with the kid

The OP needs to understand that the child is not to blame for all this bullshit. Let them go to therapy or something like that, which Americans like to do with any problem
