Very interesting video, would love to hear if hitting the amp with a clean boost pedal would reel in the flabby low end and single coils would have been awesome to hear also
I have a princeton and it hasn't quite cut the mustard at low volumes with my Les Paul, even with the tone king. Maybe it's the humbuckers. I have to try out a Deluxe with the TK!
If you want saturated overdrive then that's the combo for you. Up at 6 on vibrato channel with Les Paul and Tone King engaged. Sounds like a marshall lol
It's a standard '65 Deluxe reverb re-issue indeed. With the Jensen speaker and cool brown tolex. I like those FSR ones. The blonde is cool too! Thanks for the compliment! 🐷👍
Hi, I have the opportunity of buying this exact amp, could you confirm if the cabinet is solid baltic birch? Congrats for the demo, especially with the use of the attenuator- Kind regards.
Thanks! Not solid but plywood. I bought mine used so I can't really tell. Maybe a bit more googling would reveal whether the FSR version had a different cabinet. I doubt it though.
@@gringopig Thanks a lot, very helpful. Thus, the standard one is already birch, though laminated. Maybe the only difference is this other one is solid. Thanks again!
@@gringopig Hi, just to tell you I received answer from Fender, and yes, this model is SOLID Baltic Birch, instead of birch plywood as the standard. Absolutely confirmed. Just for you to know about your amplifier too. Kind regards!
Yes. I had done work done on it. A tech changed the wire layout around the transformer, removed the IC timing circuit and re-installed the optical tremolo. Quite a bit of work and now it's quiet. It was much noisier when I bought it. I think I go into details on my website page about it.
@@lofikorean7051 you can get it quieter for sure. Fenders wiring scheme can be improved for noise floor. It's worth doing! I also had the bright cap bypassed onto a push pull pot
I was also using an attenuator remember. This attenuates everything including the noise floor. This will contribute to mine sounding quieter also. It sits between the amp and speaker and reduces signal. Both the signal and the noise. The amp when I bought it was noisier than after the work done on it though
Great demo & tones! Thanks for that!
Thanks for watching!
Sounds Really sweet & Nice! A good way to start a New year! Hope it Will play a LOT 2021!
Thanks Curt. I hope so too!
My tweed 65 drri w celestion shows up Thursday... I can't wait.
Nice! A tweed finish. I've never seen one of those. Cool!

I have one of these in Blonde, great amps. Yours look and sound equally as cool!
The blonde ones look better I think!

I wish you shown us the guitar (s)
Cheers and keep on plunkin'
In retrospect, that would have been better yes.
Is the Fudge Brownie a standard '65 Deluxe with a Jensen P12Q in there and Brown era cosmetics? It sounds great in your hands!
