Good list, however I would push back with your assessment of 3-pack blisters. They have a really high return (depending on set) once they sell out on the Pokemon center. Also, a great entry price, which lowers the overall risk.
It’s pretty easy to look at raw numbers without factoring in storage, liquidity, and time to sell the same amount of 3-Pack blisters compared to a booster box and think you’re coming out ahead. Obviously purchase price and promo will play a factor, but when all is said and done, the vast majority of the time there are better options.
I love the smaller booster bundles. I think they’ll do great long term as well. The sealed displays are really nice but just imagining a display of all the bundles from SV era sounds really cool to me. I think they have the potential to perform similar to booster boxes even. They’re just a cheaper and smaller alternative, which works well for this market.
For specialty set boosterbundles are best investment since they are small and take less space. My strategy is for specialty set i buy ETB and boosterbundles and main sets i buy boosterboxes. That’s how simple I keep it.
I agree with your breakdown. Other than chests, only because. And I know your image was just an example. I bought tons of the celebration's chests for 14.99... I have tripled my money and some. Actually, waiting to offload them. When we get close to 30th Anniversary I will kill it. I agree a long-term play and it takes storage, but I have the space and time
That’s awesome! I would say however, You’ve got a potential return that would 3x or more. Getting full market on illiquid products is tough. Also, it’s important to compare annualized ROI across products. Sure, you may 3x, but you might have 4-5x on UPCs which are easier to move.
I have a few pc etb’s, it really bums me out that I didn’t order cases. I think I would hold until they hit 200 dollars or some like pokemon go around 100.
I picked up 46 mixed stacking tins for $6.97 lol I got 13 evolving skies from some of them . If the price is right everything is worth picking up , I just opened the tin and kept the loose packs for space saving
Those stacking tins are awesome. You guys are trippin. My first tin got me the alt art lugia from silver tempest and my first pack of rebel clash got me the full art boss's orders. Id say it was a win out of the 4 tins i bought
Booster bundles in a bear market i think will be valued in their per pack price over anything else. There is no promo, no sleeves, just packs. They are performing great now yes due to scarcity (151) but yes their long term value compared to ETBs is in the air for me. Thoughts?
@ Def hard to say I agree. I guess what would be an interesting video breakdown would be to see how these various sealed products perform in a bear market with data when supply is plenty and fomo is non-existent. You never really know how strong an investment really is in a bull market. The true demand of the asset can really only be determined in a market that is downtrending/neutral. Would be an insightful topic that I think we all could benefit from !
haaate the wide bundle boxes , the og bricks are goated and 10 of them for the display carton is a beauty . the wide boys are what 25 pc per case or something . weak . But lets talk about those tiny little binder kits , come with 1 booster pack and the tiny binder . space wise i guess not great but cost per pack is quite interesting
The OG bundles were 25 to a case, the new wide ones I believe are 20, that’s at least what it is for CZ. I forgot about those mini portfolios. I’d avoid those as well, or just break down for the pack
@@PokeProfit I like to grab the sealed 10pk bundle displays for the specialty sets that dont have Booster boxes . i guess thats not a case , its a display carton or something
Do you pay a capital gains tax? or is the hobby unregulated, and that doesn't apply to pokemon investors like it does other collectibles investors? Interested to see a video on receipt keeping for proof of gains or losses for taxation, and how pokemon investors avoid issues with the IRS!
Paying taxes is a broad statement( im sure you pay taxes). You do have a capital gains tax in Canada as well, I mean do you pay a capital gains on Pokémon investment products?
I don't think you mentioned Mini Portfolio packs. How do you think those do? I did see a couple of Evolving Skies ones sell for $30 a piece. For $6 each that's not a bad return but I wouldn't buy many of them.
That was a good move, that set has been taking off recently. I just hope it isn't hit with a reprint, it's still well within the window. Did you get your tins for a good price? I remember seeing them on sale a few months ago and I completely ignored them because I thought paldean fates was a dud set.
@@ViolentRainbow I bought all of them at MSRP at target, then picked up one more the other day for $25 at my LGS. They didn't let me buy all 4 they had :(
hey pokeprofit! need your opinion i have a sealed booster box of Evolskies that i got at around 300 dollars but the top is pushed/crushed in a little but the seal is fine an intact i am planning on selling in 10+ years time do you think this will effect my future selling price or not? thanks
I do not follow any of this theory. I base my investments purely on buy in price. Stacking tins at $8 a tin for 3 packs ...buy and break down. Some of my best investments have been the worst products ive sold 👍👍 go on the packs and price not the price
Yeah that’s why I said at the start of the video that literally anything is a buy at the right price. Would be a pretty boring video to put everything in “only deals”
It’s a really weird product to me because we don’t have them here in North America. Might lead to a small premium in the future, might also be a lot harder to sell. Tough to tell.
@ thanks, yea I bought like 6 surging sparks for average $72 so got them quite cheap. Hoping they’re not that bad 😭 as long as they the similar value it’s fine by me
What about sealed cases of 3 pack blisters? I have temporal, surging, paldea evolved, and paldean fates sealed cases. I feel like they will do well. Oh and 151.
They don't always do well, it depends on the set. I still have a bunch of those from chilling reign, fusion strike, brilliant stars and they're all only worth about double their retail value. And brilliant stars is only at 1.5x so it's not really worth it, especially considering sales fees and shipping price when you sell meaning you don't even make double your money. Unless they're from a really solid set like surging sparks or something you're better off saving that money for a booster box.
@@PokeProfitI have a solid amount of space. I just like that they’re not opened. So that lowers the probability of them being tampered with. Plus the art and promos are cool to me.
The kadabra subscribe having the green background and not being transparent really convinced me
😂 it’s my best work!
I appreciate you 🙏

I go with sleeved packs cardboard is thicker better quality bundles and blisters are thinner.
Same here

Interesting choice selecting CRZ as the pic for PC ETB. You trying to say it’s a solid investment? (Bought a case at 550 on tcg and they’re 1,199)

ST bundles still in stock at MSRP. Good play rn

I don’t agree with Lost Origin as a top buy. But everything else on the list is pretty spot on in regard to investment.
This is about products, not sets. They are stock photos.

4 cases of the 151 poster collection.
