As someone who has been hunting for all my life, it genuinely makes me happy to see that Geega not only knows about the subject but is able to give a thorough and accurate explanation. She even addresses details that don't get mentioned enough.

Geega is wrong on composite bows, as there are composite bows and even longbows. Composite simply refers to bows (usually traditional and not modern) made of multiple materials, so wood and horn for example, or even different types of wood glued together. Compund used to refer to this type of bows in the past but currently using the term for this type of bows is outdated and now is used for something else. As terms composite only refers to material compositon it those NOT dictates other constuction elements, like length (short or long bow), or shape (recurved or not). Historically however it was very common for composite bows to be short and recurve, but not always.
The opposite of the composite bow is a self-bow, made from single piece.
All of this refers mostly to historical bows, so maybe take it with a grain of salt, but it should be applicable to all traditionally made bows even in modern times.
