I had a laser engraver and made acrylic engraved jewellery for 10 years , selling all over the world. On laser engraving forums many people speculated about what I used to colour my engraving and I 100% used rub n buff ! In my case I mainly used white acrylic with black rub n buff. It's permanent, even going through the washing machine , and I highly recommend using rub n buff . I used a cheap nail polish remover ( acetone) to wipe off the excess rub n buff ...super easy. I am now retired but if you are interested it was WendyJ jewellery, and I am in New Zealand . I now own a cricut maker !
My mom got me hooked on rub and buff years ago. She would repair antique frames and used it there. Way back in the 1960's. You can use a nail polish remover. Acetone free. Not as stinky as mineral spirits.
Thank you Miss Angie!!! I have been trying to figure out how to make my engraving stand out. I should have known you would have a video on that. I will have to remember just to check with you if I have a question on my crafting projects!!! Silly me. Lol
Angie have you tried acrylic markers with any of your engraved items? I'm in process of learning to engrave on metal, aluminun, wood & acrylic and I have a whole set of acrylic markers here n curious about them lol. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us?
Thank You for This Video! I Have impress art bracelets I haven’t used yet cause I’m a little worried I will mess it up…I am gonna do it this weekend for sure! Take Care, and be well! Now off to Watch Your Engraving Fonts Video…
During Christmas, I looked for your previous video on this and couldn’t find it. I tried sharpie, didn’t work. I finally found impress marker, that also didn’t work. Hmm, going to try the rub and buff. Thanks again for this video.
Thanks for the great tutorial. I’ve tried engraving on my Cricut maker, but not very good. The text I used was pretty thin & just didn’t show up very well, what type of text would be the best to use.

Can you use acrylic paint for different colors?
I haven't used acrylic paint.
Is rub and buff waterproof
I would say water resistant. I am not sure how long it would last submerged?
What font did you use please
It is in this video: th-cam.com/video/XS4xGiI3jO8/w-d-xo.html
