Thank you, Clive! I so enjoy this type of painting. Please, create more of these! Also, thank you for “chatting” with us as you paint. We share philosophies, so, I feel like we are chatting over a cup of tea! And, yes, forgiveness is so important. My definition of forgiveness is..”I no longer hold you responsible for the way I feel..” a very freeing way to be. I look forward to painting this quite soon!😊🎨👩🎨👩🎨
Clive, thank you so much for sharing your advice and thoughts on forgiveness. I especially enjoy your videos for the stories and feelings you express. It's like being with a comfortable friend. Jo B.
I love your waffling. Life is too short to be miserable and hateful. Enjoy and appreciate the life God gave you. Since I started painting I see the world in a different way. I see beauty in everything which gives me joy. Thank you and God bless my friend from across the pond
Thank you Clive for sharing your personal life struggles to help make the world a better place! What a marvelous lesson on forgiveness and the power that it has to heal the soul. I do enjoy your videos, I personally do not paint, but like the calming experience to melt away the stress of life. What a great example of forgiveness we have in the life of Jesus Christ...
Talking about feelings when you paint makes perfect sense. You are painting your feelings--even in a sunset. I write poetry. Can't do it if the emotions are not raw and near the surface. Not depressing. The sunset is symbolic of some pain, happiness, anger, whatever that you are releasing.
I need that 16x20 in my bedroom. For when I wake up. So I am gonna do it! I don't do or buy art according to my decor. I buy or paint what I love. Thanks so much for this video Clive! Big ART Hugs.
I completed this painting yesterday. I really enjoyed the process and your insightful comments. This technique was a little outside of my comfort zone, but I finished the piece. This looser style is challenging. I really like it and put it on the wall in my hallway. Thanks for your wonderful instruction.
Thanks Clive, i love this painting, please don,t stop waffling, i suffer with depression but getting better, there were days, i wanted tp paint, but couldn,t face it. When i saw this i had to try and paint it .Thankyou Gail
Clive, I appreciate your conversation with "me" during this painting. I also get a lot out of your style of painting, it's so relaxed. I spent a lot of time in the UK during my career but missed out on visiting Wales. Thanks for what you do. JRH
I very much enjoy your painting but I also thank you for sharing your thoughts on forgiveness. I too have suffered from depression and regret at times and I thank you once again for your honesty. It means a lot to me and i'm sure to others also. God bless!
Thank you so much so many people suffer from it and I hope I can help just a little is been hard for me but my art helps so much wishing you all the best clive
hi clive5art, i'm so glad that i started painting with you, i'm a true beginner and did'nt know how exciting it would be to learn from a painter like yourself. this will be my second painting with you, the first was the waterfall, rocks, my family and friends are so blown away by my efforts of having so much fun learning and practicing. thanks so much. klaire
Clive. I do not want to whine, but this is a fantastic painting with beautiful depth. I am blinded by the sun, it is like you are really looking into the sun. Wahw. Love from Holland
This is lovely Clive, I am going through a 'not so good period' at the moment so will certainly give this a try. You really did make it seem as though you were talking to old friends too. Thank you for the art and for sharing a 'bit of who you are' too. x
Thanks for "our" talks. I think everyone feels you are talking to just them. Your art and philosophy are a great combination. We just lost our son, only 47 years old. We are desolate. But art is bringing me back. Thanks again.
I’m so sorry for you loss I can only imagine what you are feeling art is a great way to heal I lost mum 2 years ago and it hard everyday they are always in our heart my very best to you clive
Yes I remember you talking about your mum. I enjoy your family, your grandkids are sweet and you and your wife are lovely together. I appreciate the Welsh countryside so much. We can keep our loved ones in our hearts. It never gets "better", just different. We do have to go on. We will see our loved ones again. Our best to you also.
In August of 2017 I fainted due to my heart rate dropping too rapidly. Unfortunately I hurt my neck. In September pain management dr administered injections to my neck. Meds were close to spine and was absorbed and I had an “ episode “ similar to a TIA OR Mimi stroke. My short term memory is awful. In March of this year I had a cervical spinal fusion from C-3 to C-7. Depression and anxiety set in. I was finally able to get back to learning art and painting easy work. So I believe that keeping busy with something you enjoy helps. Then Clive I watched this tutorial and cried because it gave me so much more hope. The colors are just beautiful and I think it will be my next project. Thank you.
Hi Cynthia I’m sorry you have been so unwell I too had a stroke and lost my memory that’s why I started this channel to make me paint which does help did you know the part of the brain that is affected with a stroke is the same part that causes depression that’s what I was told it’s important to be creative it heals and encourages us to use our brains which helps build new neurones and rebuild our short term memory keep up the good work and I’m sure you will improve my very best clive
Thanks Clive really enjoyed this lesson in both painting and feelings. My colours get a bit muddy sometimes but that's my inexperience, Your explanation was very helpful thanks. I have been watching the Great British Painting Challenge and have been confused by comments made by mentors and judges, final next week.
Great advice. Thank you for sharing. I agree with you that carrying around hatred is just so unhealthy. I might cheat and use a ruler for the pier...haha
This is beautiful Clive! I love the ocean💜 I also have bad anxiety and my son does too.. Painting helps me so much! It must be genetic because it runs in my family.. My son is 24 and really suffers, it breaks my heart.. I don't think people understand how bad it can be, I watched a documentary about panic attacks and the same part of the brain is affected as when people have seizures.. Sending love and prayers my friend!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful paintings and stories!! 💜🙏🎨
Anxiety is caused by a in balance of the cortisol hormone relaxing like painting and light mindful meditation helps to settle the mind my mother had bad anxiety maybe it’s a genetic I’m not sure wishing you both well clive
I started to paint because of my anxiety and panic attacks, it really helps. And I'm a total beginner so your channel is perfect for me :) greetings from Germany ;)
Clive...thankyou for sharing about forgiveness. I know there is someone out here in youtube land that needs to hear what you said. Thank you for sharing about JESUS! HE is the way to forgiveness ! I have been a subscriber for some time now...and if I could give you one piece of advice, it would be this....NEVER CHANGE. You are a gift to all of us. Many people here in youtube land love you, appreciate you, and can't wait for your next vid. Thankyou for being you!
Absolutely Gorgeous! I love bright paintings. Clive, could you show how to paint with a pallet knife? I love to texture and want to learn how to do flowers. If possible I’d love to learn
Forgiveness, it doesn't mean you condone what someone did to you, you forgive to free your soul of it all so it doesn't eat at who you are...then you can walk away with it lifted from within and you don't have to see that person if you choose not to...you live your life, they live theirs...

Flowers are not my forte but will try
CLIVE5ART That’s fine, I just have to keep trying! I love how you textured the mountains before you painted

That’s exactly what I mean and I agree ☝️
For me, Art was part of healing with PTSD for the last 23 years thus hundreds of paintings and now a passion and anxiety soother.
Art really does heal the soul and heart
It surely does.
🤗❤️❤️❤️🤗
Sir What was that brownish colour on canvas before you have started the painting?
It’s a ground a thin burnt umber it helps with mid tones and my camera settings
not alot of love for the t.v. judges from myself. the best and sometimes the harshest judge we have is our selfs
True if we stop worrying and be happy we will stop painting
I wanna try it but
But
Clive, I like your hat band will you sell me one?
I only have 2 which were made as a gift sorry I can’t sell you one
