The way Dimash is presented as an act and the way he interacts with his fans outside of the actual performance, keeps reminding me of an Japanese rockstar by the name of Gackt, especially his earlier performances, tho the production of Dimash as act is much more refined. But that’s to be expected, given Gackt in his active career (as a solo artist) predates Dimash by about a decade. Why did I write all this? Because Gackt called his fans DEARS as well, so Jeremy somewhat triggered me. 😅 But if you watch some ballad live performances by Gackt, you will find some similarities, again: Not necessarily in the music, but in the production and especially the presentation. But of course, Dimash pretty much dwarfs Gackt with his singing capabilities. But who wouldn’t be dwarfed by him? Dimash is an alien! 😆

There are many amazing performances by him, but my two favorites after SOS are "Sinful Passion" from Sochi and "Ogni Pietra" from his Arnau concert. To me, there songs demostrate his immense capacity better than most other songs. Thank you for your reaction, I can't wait for more :)
Dimash can play many instruments like dombra, guitar, piano, drums, etc and he is classically trained at age 5 and he is a national treasure of Kazakhstan. He also composed songs at a young age and his parents are both well known in Kazakh. His mother an opera singer and father singer and producer. He also stands 6'3" so yeah he is a total package 😁❤

2:50. "I'm sorry. I feel like I'm about to cry." Yeah. Me too. I've seen him sing this maybe 200 times in the last two years and it is so haunting that my heart can't hold in the feelings. The story of the song and its lyrics are worth looking into. Many of the sub-titled (in English) versions get close to the French meaning, but if you know a bit of French you get more of the underlying emotion (it also helps if you know from experience the heart of the French people....i.e., have lived with them). In any case, you will never regret time spent listening to Dimash.
I have similar feelings. “SOS” was the first Dimash song I ever heard, and I want to watch every single video of him singing it, whether it be an official video or a fancam. On a recent fancam of “SOS” I said that it’s like his anthem. It wasn’t written for him, but he was born to sing it.

I think you realized you were watching and listening to greatness. This is a once in a generation talent. Most artists have one signature song. This young man has very few songs that are not masterpieces. Each one sounds very different as he sings in so many langues and so many genres (pop, opera, rock, he can (and does) sing pretty much anything, and well!). Sinful Passion would be a great second song to react to. His range means that you will have no idea what kind of voice he'll be using, so you will be shocked at the variety. 10 singers in 1!
...the problem with this very performance is that it doesn't get better than this. It's just flawless... his best in my opinion. But you'll love "Sinful Passion" too, and many others.

I think you realized you were watching and listening to greatness. This is a once in a generation talent. Most artists have one signature song. This young man has very few songs that are not masterpieces. Each one sounds very different as he sings in so many langues and so many genres (pop, opera, rock, he can (and does) sing pretty much anything, and well!). Sinful Passion would be a great second song to react to. His range means that you will have no idea what kind of voice he'll be using, so you will be shocked at the variety. 10 singers in 1!
...the problem with this very performance is that it doesn't get better than this. It's just flawless... his best in my opinion. But you'll love "Sinful Passion" too, and many others.

Also, a great coincidence and pleasant surprise happened to me Dec 9, in New York, day before the concert. When I was about to enter the NY library I saw Dimash's parents who were also entering, Dimash's younger brother was our translator ... that was a nice meeting..I had some photos with them ....❤❤
