I GUESS he doesnt, a sound engineer analysed some songs from him, and he said he is extremmelly acurate, but not perfect pitch, in some performances he did playback, because it was the same frequence all the time in more than one performance!

      @simbelmyne7767 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +4

Perfect pitch is not the same thing as good intonation, just wanna put that out there. Perfect Pitch is the ability to identify the notes you hear, not the ability to sing them accurately.
Anyways, no human voice will produce a 100% pitch accurate performance, and if they did it would sound wrong. Dimash simply has Very Good intonation, which is a skill, not an ability one does or does not have.

I am an old soul and believe me many great artists, singers and Vocal coaches and i at 71yrs,played,Dimash can do all that and much more?many sometimes cannot believe, but after following him .He is the man in the world with perfect pitch,7.2 octaves and 4 semitones, believe me he is off the curve, and out of this world. And pkease do not talk abouto tune that is not good talk about Dimash Kudaibergen, there is never any auto tune on all his songs. He likes to do only live shows, only at tge epidemic he did digital but live with his band, this man does not need auto -tune,you must be the only vocal coach with a doubt. There are many that have gone to his concerts and were amazed that ge does live on what he does on a cd,his first CD went platinum in 37 min.. Triple platinum in a hour.Ge is the legend today,he carries at least people from 70 to i9 countries fan go to most concerts. And the best is that he is the show, not invokved with musixmcal industry i have followed him, study him for over 8 yrs,so being an old soul musicisn ,singer, pkayed all accept RAP,sgould know. Some people cannot believe, but once y folkow his playlist you will understand and recognize the talent that he is and no COPY AND PASTE COVERS,HE IS TO GREAT AN ARTIST TO DO OTHERWISE!

Thank you for posting this. There is actually a third version from 2016: th-cam.com/video/quv7zE2DE14/w-d-xo.html. However, these versions are all identical and identical to the Bastau version. These are all playback performances of a 2016 studio recording, which was obviously also used in the Bastau concert. No surprise this reactor wondered about how well polished everything was. So the only time Dimash sang it live was at the Singer competition.

His accuracy of notes is one of the reasons vocal coaches call him an alien. He was born with perfect pitch and began singing opera at the age of 5. His mother is an opera singer. He doesn't really need auto tuning because of his absurd amount of practice and what seems to be an obsession with perfection. It is extremely hard to believe that any human can be this accurate, but he is. I've heard a version of sos at some restaurant, it has the same accuracy as his other versions, it's amazing and the reason he is considered by his fans as the greatest singer in the world. When he hits the D8 and then actually adds vibrato to it, that's when you begin to understand that he isn't from this world. Listen to Ave Maria where at the end he holds a sustained C6 with vibrato added at times, you just have to hear it to believe it. Of course Stranger where he sings a dead on F6. We all know that it is hard to believe that he can actually do all of this, but he can.

At age 3yrs, family had his voice assessed, they were told he has perfect pitch. Hence his ability to hope around with no prob. I believe he may well be unique!
He us a higly trained singer who declined an invitation from hus country's opera house, to join them. He wanted to b free to explore all sorts of music, composing many of his works himself. He has a masters degree in composition and many other degrees in various genres. I think my now he has completed his Doctorate too.

Dimash sang another and quite different rendition, that shows traditional chinese and occidental/classical/pop styles/tastes by singing with Li Yugang, a star in traditional chinese opera trained since he was a child to sing and play roles because women could not play parts in their culture.

Pretty sure there is no Autotune, because you would hear it live with this kind of vocal acrobatics. Especially back then. But it’s easy to check (for people with the right monitoring software). So maybe someone could check… Or maybe people already have, and haven’t found anything or this would be known by now.
By the way the last note is not in the original. He added that. 😊

I'm not a fanatic who insists that he always sings live and that there is no post-productuon on his concert videos. Having said that, I've been to enough concerts to have heard him sing similar staccato notes while just goofing around with the audience. And it is frightening that they sound exactly the same and just as clean. I'm so terribly disappointed that the only time I would have heard him sing this live was at his concert in the Kremlin, and the mic failed.

The vocal warmups he puts the crowd through are both terrifying and hilarious. Especially when we all cave in defeat at the end!

Me neither. I think most people just dont want to admit it because they'd be bashed by the comment section. The reality is that he doesn't always sing live. Sometimes to preserve his voice, sometimes because the venue he's at has strict rules. Some people object to that, but Dimash is a unique case where I hardly ever mind.

Not really how it works. Vocal coaches have a different skill set (and often interest) or they would be too busy performing and creating like Dimash does to coach. And you can teach and comment on technique without being able to emulate that technique to the same level. Even Dimash still works regularly with a vocal coach.

👉 This is Dimash's gorgeous first solo concert in Astana called ‘Bastau/ Beginning, shortly after the show 'The Singer 2017'. This concert was given to him by his hometown as a welcome home and as a thank you for his huge success in China. 30. 000 people from all over the world took part.
In preparation for the concert, Dimash worked so hard that he lost a lot of weight. His family was very concerned.... but the concert was great. It blows your mind! (Only via video). His concerts last almost 3 hours without decreasing in intensity in the slightest.

He sings it a half step lower then the original. Dimash is the only person in the world who sings this song flawlessly. He reaches the highs as well as the lows effortlessly and he delivers all riffs and runs and staccati accurately.

I can assure you he dosnt use or need any kind of autotune lol. The reason the best queen of the nights dont match up to that bit is because Dimash is way better than the best at what he does.
He litterally IS the worlds best singer so ofcourse he is better than them. Not to say others cant perform various things they specialise in better than Dimash - like the best tenor is probably better than Dimash in that narrow range- but not by much.. But as for vocal gynastics Dimash wastes them.
p.s There are plenty of backstage, practice runs, sound checks etc videos of Dimash singing these things unmic'd.

Existem cantores extraordinários e existe o Dimash!

What nobody seems to get is that while Dimash is very good and does not "need" autotune, that does not mean this recording was all natural.
Autotune can be used live. The lighter the touch and the more naturally on-pitch the vocalist, the harder it is to tell, but live mic'd vocals can be autotuned.
Pitch-correction can also be done on a vocal before the video is uploaded.
Dimash singing very well in a hallway in no way proves that This performance was unedited. I'm not saying it was or it wasn't but I'm saying it's possible. Dimash has used autotune before.
What you have to realize is that most (non-opera) vocals these days are pitch adjusted. And in fact it's a shame that it's so common, because superb vocalists like Dimash get edited anyway and it takes away from their natural, imperfect sound.
If you know anything about singing on pitch, you know that great voices are never perfectly and consistently on pitch. That is physically impossible and undesireable. But the human ear is not a machine. A perfect performance is a technically imperfect one. Period.
There is no need to get defensive that Dimash is good because someone (an actual singer who knows what to listen for, mind you) wonders if the vocal was touched up. An edited vocal does not mean the singer is not a brilliant singer.
This Diva Dance *is* suspiciously good. Hitting those notes so cleanly is insanely difficult and the difference between a REALLY GOOD raw vocal and that same vocal skillfully pitch-corrected may be slight, and unnoticeable to you average person.

Hey guys, Freya is doing her best to give an unbiassed analysis of Dimash. But EVERYONE can be forgiven a touch of scepticism when first hearing some of these performances. Quite frankly I'd be more surprised by an uncritical "greatest voice ever" reaction, because no-one expects to see a once in a generation talent just pop up. And in truth, Dimash has to lip-sync on occasion because of production requirements. We just need to remember that he can produce just about any song a capella and on demand.

I agree with almost everything you said, however I think there is some bias here based on the fact that she appears never to have come across an artist like Dimash before so there seems to be a bias towards "I believe this to be impossible, I couldn't do it without auto tune, therefore he must have used it"
Quite honestly statements like that shouldn't be used unless you have a thorough knowledge of the artist and know for certain that they are not capable of what you're seeing.

Sometimes he sings live and sometimes he is lip-singing depending on what serves him and the event better. And why would we care anyway? What is important for me, it to see him create, feel curious about what is coming next in his plans, and be proud of him thriving. So simple! If you are curious to see him sing "Il dolce suono and Diva Dance" (this was the best I could find) th-cam.com/video/RBq6Nypq2QU/w-d-xo.html and the "Queen of the Night" just for fun th-cam.com/video/IyyD3aVhPhs/w-d-xo.html Thank you for your reaction Freya, nice approach! If there was something going on, it would have been pitch correction, because autotune sounds strange and will be clearly recognizable on Dimash. The system would place him all over the wrong notes and we hear a strange technical sound through out the song. If he didn't place notes correctly (which he rarely does, never heard him sound off on concert), they would pitch correct only those notes, because again... Pitch correction on the complete songs of Dimash might create a mess 😅and one time i used a free app tool on one of his supposed lives and it sounded horrible after.

I suggest that you start with a different live performance, such as SOS Slavic Bazzar as your first Dimash reaction. You may have gone too far, too fast for your initial reaction.
