@@awman698That's how humans have been learning how to draw, by copying other people's art and making a new one that reflects their own perception of art, you could argue that AI does the same except it doesn't take skill for it to become art, it takes a program to directly copy paste from other people's work for free and mashing them together without sense, then selling them? I think the last part is the last straw, if any payment should be paid it should be to the AI developer, and I don't even think they would accept since they wouldn't want to get sued anyways.

You input a bunch of information and tell the program what each thing is labeled as. When you input certain keywords, the program mashes together a bunch of pieces of information that are labeled using those keywords. At first, everything will be incoherent, but you can train the program with a purging system. There's nothing creative about the process of generating AI images. It scrapes up bits of the information it's been fed and basically makes a collage.
That's what I'm using the AI images i find for, to try and figure out how the machine "learned" and so teaching me like, second hand, how they emulate styles. IDk if that makes sense but that's what I'm doing with it.
I approve of this kind of Ai usage lol, its so nice to see someone using AI to make as an inspiration for their art instead of using it to sell ripped-off arts. Feels good to see true artists with this kind of correct mindset.
I think this is such a good idea! I’d love for you to take a piece of ai art that is super wrong looking, with like backwards hands or two noses or whatever, and make it a beautiful fully formed idea. Being a human who can take the idea given to a computer and generate something more thoughtful is so powerful.

It’s different because I would rather learn from the source rather than image generating out of respect for the artist and also because AI still has issues with visual details. There’s subtle distortions that you can see in the mouth and hair, shirt, but in general people should always research where a picture came from from before they use it for specifically the reason you stated

Ah it was because on the right side of the image it balloons out a bit and adds an ear, so it seems wider than it would be going by hand placement. Just threw me off a bit. Thanks!
The only time I ever use or teach AI art is as a form of reference. I have ADHD and likely undiagnosed Autism (A1 designation). I have a very hard time settling down the stimulation in my brain without medication. So AI has really helped me develop my ideas. But I wouldn't ever post any generations to anyone but my friends. And the drawings I do accomplish I tell people I use AI references.

I'm not judging the author of the video or anything, but the logic of this comments doesn't make sense to me 😭 you're just using same arguments ai bros did lol. after all not only is it taken from other artists and mashed together, it sometimes even is taken from very specific artists, sometimes even that is done on purpose. like this one kinda looks like they were trying to emulate the style of ilya kuvshinov :\ and sometimes its super obvious what kind of artists it was taken from, and not very hard to find similar artists. and imo if we really need to study off of this artstyles doing it from originals is much better, at least you know the artist knew why and what they were doing. but that is my opinion

I don't think ai art is bad but alot of it is either nonsense or generic stuff. it shows that the people generating the images don't put alot of thought or creativity into what they are making.
