There's just a slight lack of tightness and cohesion from these 4 and I feel like I hear all 4 of them individually and each one is distinct but in a quartet that's not always a good thing. Alessi in particular when I've heard him with NY Phil's trombone section sound amazingly tight and produce a tone as a section that easily rivals this.
Imagine this section in a symphony, especially playing Mahler.

Love a bass trombone that can do more than just "blatt" out his part. Great job!
