Hi, yes it sure is uncorked. All it needed was for you to open up the air box, change the jetting and a different exhaust. Handles like a different bike afterwards. Mine has a 250r cam in it, that went well with uncorking it.
Yes I did have valve problems. I put it down to user error though because I was red lining it all the time and never checked my valve clearances. As long as you aren’t hitting the rev limiter all the time and are changing the oil every 10 hours and checking valve clearances every 20, they are very reliable. I haven’t had a single problem since rebuilding mine
