I love this song. The first time I heard this song was right after my mom passed away almost 4 years ago. So it really hit me hard listening to it. This song will always remind me of my mom.
I totally understand the overwhelming emotion from this song! I’m bipolar 1, have had stage 3 cancer, and now have a massive brain tumor that has pretty much brought me to a complete stop. I’ve had my mom to help me in everything in my life, but she was taken from me in 2020 after she got sick in 2018. She was my best friend and my only support system. Now, she’s gone, and I definitely relate to feeling alone and losing the will to fight. I think even someone who hasn’t gone through a massive amount of pain can feel so strongly about this song and its message! Right now, I can only think of 2 other songs that are similar- - “Are You With Me” by Nilu - “Our Farewell” by Within Temptation
Such songs always give me goosebumbs and together with such beautiful voices I sometimes also cry like a baby and I'm a man. But that's the power of music. It let us cry or laugh, can make uns angry or lucky, helps us in hard times and connecting people. The video also has a extreme emotional power. Thank you Ginger and Mike to give me a new song which I would never have found without you.
Ginger, i reacted the same way 3 years ago when i heard this. I lost my husband due to skin cancer 2019 and this just made me feel hurt he was gone and i couldnt carry him longer. So the higher power carried him home. please do not be sorry hugs 🤗 love and light 💜💜💜💜💜
