28th March 2020... Typing this from my OnePlus 2 running a Android 10 custom ROM. Bought this phone in September 2015! Still runs good...just the battery is weak now..performs almost half its original capacity..
Both of you are really really stupid. He said that because at that time usb type C was very rare so you had to carry it around everyday due to less people using it, but now as more people use it, it is way more convenient.
I remember back in 2016 when my phone already had USB C and all of my friends told me that plug was stupid and I had to carry my cable around all the time. Now that everyone of them ended up having a phone with USB C now I laugh at them. I told you fools.
+Kappy “Engi” Kappington you can actually connect a NFC tag to your phones Bluetooth id and NFC enable it if to really wanted to, plus it costs like less than five bucks
+Average Shows Gaming Because terminals that accepted NFC payments are just becoming readily available now (in USA anyway due to vendor/credit legal changes taking place in October, Europe it is already flourishing). If you want your device to be the 2016 flagship killer, how about you compete with the devices of 2015.
+Kaija Leung wow ok yeah he should. Not even tech people though. He's got the best looking videos of anyone I've seen on TH-cam, big companies and all.
I got tired of waiting for the invitations, I just bought a oneplus one -_- I feel it's only the fingerprint sensor that I'm missing out along with a bit of future proofing, better design. But meh, grapes are sour.
The more I watch MKBHD's videos, the more I'm convinced that he's simply the best tech reviewer out there. He's kind of in his own league. He basically answers 90% of the questions I'd have for any device (that I'd think of buying) he reviews.
I said this on a couple of other videos before, and I'll say this again. The OnePlus Two may be a solid phone, but not with the train-wreck of an invite system. Say what you want, but any system that makes me go down several queues just because some neckbeards who somehow have lots of time spammed referral links to their friends in order to go up a few spots is already going to be irritating to me. I would have much preferred a traditional queue system. The Two is going to face a lot of stiff competition, from the Moto X Pure to the Zenfone 2 64GB ZE551ML, not to mention the upcoming Nexus devices, whatever new device Chinese OEMs have, the Lenovo ZUK Z1 (that has a USB 3.1 Type C port unlike the USB 2.0-based version on the OPT) and more, even including the LG G4 which had a few price cuts. This isn't the same market the OnePlus One faced, especially when you can get these phones upfront without an invite. That alone is going to be quite significant for many. Also, I'd say the phone is overhyped. It's not a bad phone, but definitely overhyped. So don't let the hype influence you.
gabriel ureta The problem is that the invite system favors those who spread the hype through spam rather than those who managed to get an early top spot, even if it's reserved. Like I said in my OP, I would have been fine if it was like a queue, where you get your number and you wait. Also, while the ZF2 might not be a complete match, I still consider it a rival as it's a pretty dang good phone for the price. Really, this ain't a flagship killer. It's just a marketing slogan (one that makes zero sense). The Two is going to have a tougher time on the market than the One, especially when the phones I mentioned (especially that Moto X) can deliver a similar experience at an identical price tag while also being readily available.
***** that would be fine if they didn't make it so that people who spammed invite links get jumped up the queue by tens of thousands. I already mentioned in my OP that if it was a standard queue system, then it would be fine. Look, I know some people who love their OnePlus One, but even they agree that the 'improved' invite system has gotten worse. One guy mentioned that he got pushed down so far down the queue due to people spamming invite links, so much so that his interest has faded. The issue isn't the system itself. It's how it is implemented by the company. It helped them, but from my viewpoint, it's not beneficial for consumers. Look, I wouldn't be complaining if it was a "first come, first serve" system. Yes, it creates problems for folks who got it late, but it also doesn't make people who either had a reservation or got a spot early feel 'cheated'.
+D13H4RD2L1V3 I just fangirled when i saw your profile picture because i love hyperdimension neptunia. But anyways, is your point that the OnePlus Two was not bad but overhyped and that the one plus one is better?
Moto X Pure edition is the killer for $20 more. You get : 1. Front Facing Speakers 2. SD card Slot 3. water resistance 4. QHD LCD / larger display near identical footprint 5. Moto maker 6. moto Assists 7. NFC 8. faster updates 9. Turbo charging AND NO DUMB INVITE SYSTEM
+SamOwenI honestly it doesn't matter, the invite system is a deal breaker even for 50$ difference. by the time you get any invite you made 200$ and can even get a galaxy S6
Maaan, it's so fun to hear Marques saying that usb type-c is a con and that he doesn't care about NFC. So much has changed technologically in just 6 years, we live in a different world now wow...
You know, I really really like the build quality of the OnePlus 2 and to be quite honest it's probably one of the best phones for under $400 unlocked you can buy. Software is awesome, camera is great, and build quality is freaking awesome; pretty much what sums up my 48 hour experience video on the OnePlus 2.
+Suhas Anjan (Wicked Sick Critic) Curious how long you've been using TH-cam? Since it came out, when you upload a video it takes a bit before the higher resolutions become available. It's always strange to me that people still, after all these years, don't get this.
i have been using one plus 2 for 2 years and came across this video today morning . i am quite impressed to see what i feel about my phone so far so good storage , camera everything and that Ctype dash charging makes it elite. great video man .
Let me talk about what is wrong with this phone. No NFC: no use for it. Weak speaker: just got a Bluetooth one. No wireless charging: that form of charging wears down the battery, and I won't use it for a long time. So, for me, this is the perfect phone, $350 and my other choice was the M8 and s5. Now I just have to make one payment of $350. I am gonna be doing chores for a while...

+Insanemaniac 456 yea but the thing that draws me to the 1+2 is that it checks off all i want in a phone ( fingerprint scanner and 64 gig for at least less than $ 500 ) idc about the camera. so i need a new phone by the middle of february. can u recommend me a phone that has my requirements that's better than the 1+2 or is the 1+2 still a good buy in february ?
+Afonso Azevedo HDR is meant to take longer, no? The phone has to take multiple images of the scene in different exposure settings and then process the image to create 1 finalised image.
+Tommy Thai Well yes I know but still. That's not an excuse to take 4 seconds to take a single photo. And yeah I know it's an old phone and it's normal to be like this. xD
Still rocking this device lol, got it wayyyyy back with an Invite. Replaced all the terrible "Thermal Putty" with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaught, under the Sheild too, and added copper between the board and chassis, as their is too much space for paste, and I don't think pads work well enough. Replaced the battery with a "GLK Tech" Battery, 3500Mah, battery dated 2021. Also rocking LineageOS, with a Locked Bootloader too. Love this device haha. Doesn't overheat anymore, just a shame that 4 cores are disabled.
Okay, burning question here. I need a phone soon and I have no idea which one to get. People said Nexus 6, OnePlus, OnePlus are great phones, but I really need to know the pros and cons Money/size isn't an issue for me.
+Don't mind me, I'm here for the comments. nexus 6 is FRIGGIN HUGE but you said size isn't an issue. I'm sure there are comparisons on the web. The nexus 6 is easier to get though. So it's what you want. My alternatives right now are the lg g4 and maybe moto x
+andreas1911maxhtec He said money is not an issue, so he can buy it from an online retailer...it will just cost 100 USD more. ;-) Oppomart for example ship the non Chinese version.
Yo guys need some help here, I used to have a HTC one m8, it broke and couldn't fix it, I've been stuck with my old iPhone 4, I've been looking toward getting the Moto x Play or should I get the OnePlus 2???
Around 12-14 One plus two Reviews, I'll definitely say that THIS VIDEO IS THE BEST AMONG THEM.. You just cleared all the Doubts that the other videos raised and at the end of the video u even mentioned about vibration where none of them did. Thanks for the Video mate :) Peace Out .
Thankyou Marques! I used to have this phone earlier my dad had it he gave it to May but because I need a new phone in a hurry I sold it but I miss it a lot all over the yt u are the only one who helped me remember it!
How come it's going to take that long? I ordered mine 3 days ago and it should be arriving in this next week. It's being shipped from West coast to east coast

+mayank manjul Buy an iPhone. An iPhone with iOS runs faster than almost every single Android device out there, despite having a slower CPU and less RAM. iOS is the superior OS in terms of speed and efficiency. Buy an iPhone mane
I would recommend this phone, the oneplus one (which my buddy owns and I have more experience with) or a nexus of indiscernible numbers. It just depends on what you're going for in a phone. I'd recommend doing more research, but if you need a phone rn, check out the oneplus one (Amazon or eBay) or a nexus
+Szymon Pawełek for aftermarket software support, OPO. For almost anything else, just choose what you think the price difference is actually worth in features
the 1+3 is out in a week or two. One version has 4gb RAM and 32 gb storage, other version has 6gb of RAM and 64gb of storage. they both have the snapdragon 820, 16mp camera, and a 1080p screen
That car/NFC analogy was terrible lol. People use reverse all the time when they park their cars or back out of their driveways. A better analogy would be building a car with no cupholders or no sunglass compartment.
+SuperEasy still, safety vs convenience. No cupholder analogy is better. Some people use it every morning for their coffee, some people don't use it much at all, but how expensive is that cupholder?
+SuperEasy Since not having reverse lights is illegal and dangerous, that would be like if a phone didn't have speakers or volume control. NFC is optional as he said in the video, but reverse lights are not optional.
hey i got my 1+2 today and i have no idea how to get rid of google bar on top of screen and also i want to have battery percentage.anyone down to help? thanks
that depends... the 2 is only $275 on Amazon... which is almost half the price of the 3. And I don't know if you have to jump through hoops with the 3 like the 2, but there's no invitations for the 2 anymore. So, really, kinda depends on your budget. If you have $550 to spend, get the 3. Otherwise, the 2 should be perfectly fine. My plan is to get the 2.
getting the phone with 4 official usb c cables2 special back covers one gel cover, an otterbox case and 2 spare tempered glass for 250 bucks. As a switch from the note 3, I think this will suffice as an upgrade.
Marques thank you for all your work. You're the best out there.

iPhone didn't have NFC until iPhone 6, no one cares
OnePlus 2 doesn't have NFC, everybody loses their minds
iPhone still doesn't have "NFC". It has an NFC chip, but it just uses it for Apple Pay. No tapping your phone to connect via Bluetooth and all. ^^

HDR is meant to take longer, no? The phone has to take multiple images of the scene in different exposure settings and then process the image to create 1 finalised image.
+Tommy Thai Well yes I know but still. That's not an excuse to take 4 seconds to take a single photo. And yeah I know it's an old phone and it's normal to be like this. xD
oneplus.net/invites?kolid=F2LH5M
Use this it's easier to get an invite with this link
Still rocking this device lol, got it wayyyyy back with an Invite.
Replaced all the terrible "Thermal Putty" with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaught, under the Sheild too, and added copper between the board and chassis, as their is too much space for paste, and I don't think pads work well enough.
Replaced the battery with a "GLK Tech" Battery, 3500Mah, battery dated 2021. Also rocking LineageOS, with a Locked Bootloader too.
Love this device haha. Doesn't overheat anymore, just a shame that 4 cores are disabled.
Okay I'm watching this in 2019 and I can't help but notice the obvious change in your voice!
USB-C is inconvenient. Years later...
Okay, burning question here.
I need a phone soon and I have no idea which one to get.
People said Nexus 6, OnePlus, OnePlus are great phones, but I really need to know the pros and cons
Money/size isn't an issue for me.
+Don't mind me, I'm here for the comments. watch his videos then
Note 4 is pretty good
Wait for the New Nexus
+andreas1911maxhtec He said money is not an issue, so he can buy it from an online retailer...it will just cost 100 USD more. ;-) Oppomart for example ship the non Chinese version.
Oneplus already had Dark Mode back in 2015. They really were ahead of the time
Thanks i was confused between this and OnePlus 7t pro .. gonna buy this
Watching this in my 1+2 in 2020, its still worth it!
Yo guys need some help here, I used to have a HTC one m8, it broke and couldn't fix it, I've been stuck with my old iPhone 4, I've been looking toward getting the Moto x Play or should I get the OnePlus 2???

😅 ohh I see
i did xD
UHHH.. I can't decide on this or the Moto X Pure.. Love my camera on phones.. Also would consider others... Any suggestions?
what did you choose?
I love your introduction, short, musical and well designed. Cheers
Can I charge my old phones that use the old USB charging with the new USB type c?
no
thanks for the info, because of this idk if I really want this phone anymore. :/
+Rexyboy1010 I dont want to have any USB type c if they only charge one phone and don't provide anything special
you're gonna find more smartphones that will have a USB Type-C. HTC 10, Nexus 5X and 6P and the LG G5 are some devices that has a USB Type-C.
yah but thats extra money...
BUT WAIT...
Oneplus 2 = 3
Triangles have 3 sides
Oneplus luminarty confetti!11!1!!
+Alvsen Blomqvist Not again.

Halflife3 confirmed!!
@@christianhauschel7246 this did not age well
@@FUCKFXTSO +
I ordered it today! Its coming on the 17th of August! :D
How come it's going to take that long? I ordered mine 3 days ago and it should be arriving in this next week. It's being shipped from West coast to east coast
It comes from China so thats why it takes so long :)
+KoeleKat Do you think its a better than asus zenfone 2??
Yes. Asus isn't that good with phones... There more of a laptop/pc company i have a laptop of Asus :)
You could of just ordered it on Amazon, mines coming in 3-5 days. And it's the official Amazon page that sells it.
I swear you are the best you-tuber and tech-reviewer
No matter what people say about you
The way you give examples and review about tech is the best one and no one can do better than you
Whatever people see, likes or reply my comment or not
I wish you see my comment and like it
I want to be like you in future
8 years later. Apple are now using usb type-c and its the new features of iphone. 😂😂😂😂
i am planing to buy a phone and i love stock android. Should i buy this??
+mayank manjul Buy an iPhone. An iPhone with iOS runs faster than almost every single Android device out there, despite having a slower CPU and less RAM. iOS is the superior OS in terms of speed and efficiency. Buy an iPhone mane
actually i hate Iphones... any ways thanx a lot Charles Fries
+Charles Fries Apple fanboy confirmed.
+Charles Fries bruh don't buy an iPhone
should I get OnePlus One or 2?
absolutely two for now. its onlu 100€ more
+Szymon Pawełek 1. Oneplus 2 2. Oneplus X 3. Oneplus one
+Gary Pickrell IV Oh wow, how much will they cost?
Bought this phone 2 years ago b/c of this review not at all disappointed. The phone is still going strong
+Thomas Hoang Reverse lights aren't required in Texas.
hey i got my 1+2 today and i have no idea how to get rid of google bar on top of screen and also i want to have battery percentage.anyone down to help? thanks
if u download avast power saver it keeps the percentage up top
Thanks.
+Adrian B can you please provide me with an invite?
Go into the Battery settings and click on the battery on top right to change into Circle, Percent or hide it completely
Do you have any invites left?
soooo the One plus X is the only one with expandable storage.....hmmmmmmmm
longer battery, bigger screen, better processor, better camera... should I keep going?
Nah you have proven your point
TheBlackShinigami Touch ID and better built quality.
Wait so Is the one plus X better than the one plus2
No, its not.
Watching this on oneplus 2. Till date I've only replaced tempered glass and usb cable. Fantastic phone even to this day
U have any battery drain issue
this or moto g4 plus?
360p
#teamCRISPY
Yes.
😂😂😂
R.I.P 301+ club welcome 360p club
Could you tell me whats the backpack at 0:52?
this or the one plus 3?
THIS! the oneplus 3 battery is not that impressive
of course the 3.
get the 3 usb c, dash charge, nfc and an amoled display make it worth it imo
that depends... the 2 is only $275 on Amazon... which is almost half the price of the 3. And I don't know if you have to jump through hoops with the 3 like the 2, but there's no invitations for the 2 anymore. So, really, kinda depends on your budget. If you have $550 to spend, get the 3. Otherwise, the 2 should be perfectly fine. My plan is to get the 2.
GameCaptureMoments the 3 is 400 not 550
I think that's Hydrogen OS ?
+Soumyadip Pal Hydrogen OS is for phones from china and india, that region.
+Māris Samats Thanks for clarifying 😊👍
+Māris Samats the OnePlus 2 Phones for India have OxygenOS too.
Any other one plus twos with helium os? What about carbon os?
+Poopychoo In 1+3 maybe !! 😂😂
ok youtube it's 2020 now..
getting the phone with 4 official usb c cables2 special back covers one gel cover, an otterbox case and 2 spare tempered glass for 250 bucks. As a switch from the note 3, I think this will suffice as an upgrade.
It would be better if it had an Apple logo.
So Apple would Sue them?
***** Are you?
+MrLaeddis1 you have problems... apple will never make a phone this good for years
+MrLaeddis1 I think I found the iPhone user!
Anyone notice the police sirens on the voice over
no
+tRiBuTeDeSiNeR You sir must be wearing headphones because i heard them
your not insane I also heard it
Heard it as well
No
Does this guy just get tons of phones sent to him by manufacturers lol
Great review. He knows what he is talking about. Nice to have a real tech review.
android users are spoiled 1080p for under $400 will apple users are paying 800 for 1080p... but hey stupid doesn't come cheap.
+Charles Fries he was talking about the display
+Charles Fries every Android is better than iPhone duh
+Charles Fries TROLLLLLLLOLOLOL
+Charles Fries wtf lol I'd love to see this magical video showing the ishit 6 beat the note 5.
+Joseph Fisher yeah wtf is this bs about the note 5 being beat by an iPhone?
I gagged when I saw the Jaybird X2's really disappointed with my pair :/
Who else was like "WTF, why now?"
It's weird that this gets recommended to me in 2019 for some reason but its pretty cool to see how much phones have evolved in only 5 years
2019?
You heard it here folks +Marques Brownlee likes them thick 1:20.
Watching this after 3 years on a OnePlus 2 xD
Great review, led me to buying the phone after contemplating it. Also, early congrats on 3M subs :)
