I said this on a couple of other videos before, and I'll say this again.
The OnePlus Two may be a solid phone, but not with the train-wreck of an invite system. Say what you want, but any system that makes me go down several queues just because some neckbeards who somehow have lots of time spammed referral links to their friends in order to go up a few spots is already going to be irritating to me. I would have much preferred a traditional queue system.
The Two is going to face a lot of stiff competition, from the Moto X Pure to the Zenfone 2 64GB ZE551ML, not to mention the upcoming Nexus devices, whatever new device Chinese OEMs have, the Lenovo ZUK Z1 (that has a USB 3.1 Type C port unlike the USB 2.0-based version on the OPT) and more, even including the LG G4 which had a few price cuts. This isn't the same market the OnePlus One faced, especially when you can get these phones upfront without an invite. That alone is going to be quite significant for many.
Also, I'd say the phone is overhyped. It's not a bad phone, but definitely overhyped. So don't let the hype influence you.

Like I said in my OP, I would have been fine if it was like a queue, where you get your number and you wait.
Also, while the ZF2 might not be a complete match, I still consider it a rival as it's a pretty dang good phone for the price.
Really, this ain't a flagship killer. It's just a marketing slogan (one that makes zero sense). The Two is going to have a tougher time on the market than the One, especially when the phones I mentioned (especially that Moto X) can deliver a similar experience at an identical price tag while also being readily available.

I already mentioned in my OP that if it was a standard queue system, then it would be fine.
Look, I know some people who love their OnePlus One, but even they agree that the 'improved' invite system has gotten worse.
One guy mentioned that he got pushed down so far down the queue due to people spamming invite links, so much so that his interest has faded.
The issue isn't the system itself. It's how it is implemented by the company. It helped them, but from my viewpoint, it's not beneficial for consumers.
Look, I wouldn't be complaining if it was a "first come, first serve" system. Yes, it creates problems for folks who got it late, but it also doesn't make people who either had a reservation or got a spot early feel 'cheated'.

I agree with you, it is in several tests the oneplus 2 was slow browsing UI testing. Smartlock with the digital reader is not so much.

Still rocking this device lol, got it wayyyyy back with an Invite.
Replaced all the terrible "Thermal Putty" with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaught, under the Sheild too, and added copper between the board and chassis, as their is too much space for paste, and I don't think pads work well enough.
Replaced the battery with a "GLK Tech" Battery, 3500Mah, battery dated 2021. Also rocking LineageOS, with a Locked Bootloader too.
Love this device haha. Doesn't overheat anymore, just a shame that 4 cores are disabled.

The more I watch MKBHD's videos, the more I'm convinced that he's simply the best tech reviewer out there. He's kind of in his own league. He basically answers 90% of the questions I'd have for any device (that I'd think of buying) he reviews.
I think this will be a nice, cheap upgrade for this summer. Thanks :D

Let me talk about what is wrong with this phone. No NFC: no use for it. Weak speaker: just got a Bluetooth one. No wireless charging: that form of charging wears down the battery, and I won't use it for a long time. So, for me, this is the perfect phone, $350 and my other choice was the M8 and s5. Now I just have to make one payment of $350. I am gonna be doing chores for a while...

You know, I really really like the build quality of the OnePlus 2 and to be quite honest it's probably one of the best phones for under $400 unlocked you can buy. Software is awesome, camera is great, and build quality is freaking awesome; pretty much what sums up my 48 hour experience video on the OnePlus 2.

HDR is meant to take longer, no? The phone has to take multiple images of the scene in different exposure settings and then process the image to create 1 finalised image.

Watching this in my 1+2 in 2020, its still worth it!
I got this phone when it came out. Still using it today. Here's what I think about it:
Pros:
It's still quick, I can still feel the huge RAM and decent processor.
It barely has any scratches, even if I dropped it several times on concrete.
The design is still kind of cool, with the sandstone back, and the home button, not being tactile, but also serving as a fingerprint.
Once you get used to the alert slider, it comes in really handy.
Cons:
The charger got too old after 2 years, meanimg that it would charge the phone very hard, but I changed it, and the charging speed is just as it was when I first charged the phone.
The speaker is still shit. If you want to listen to music, you should plug in your headphones. Anyway, for movies and games it works just fine.
No more software updates.
They didn't fix the LED notifications color bug, where colors just mix in some cases, but only for notifications.
Overall it's still a good phone, especially for that price. It even has some modern phones features, such as the home button like iphone 8, or the usb-c type, or the ability to customise the control panel.
How's the battery life?
Yup! I just upgraded to the OP5T in May 2019. I'm gonna miss it. But not as much as I miss my OP1. RIP OP1

Tbh I really liked the OnePlus Shelf implemented in older OxygenOS versions, replacing the Google Now page. It was super customizable, with a separate wallpaper and all. 100% would use it if OnePlus changed their implementation in future versions.

I would recommend this phone, the oneplus one (which my buddy owns and I have more experience with) or a nexus of indiscernible numbers. It just depends on what you're going for in a phone. Watching this after 3 years on a OnePlus 2 xD
I bought 2 micro USB to Type C adapters on Amazon for $9. That pretty much solved my issue for my connections to my car or if I'm at work so I don't have switch out my cables already in place.
This made me cry after i damaged my OnePlus2 in water.. watching on my OnePlus7T now😂
