      All good here Andy, Unni would love a deer heart 😂. Or any other random pice of animal. I used to walk past a reindeer farm with her every day. That was always interesting 😂.
      No problem with roads here, I wish the council would fix my car though, or your washing machine.
      Have a fantastic weekend mate.

      You should have seen all of the outtakes mate🤣. She was also panting quite a lot in the background. Poor girl, it's not the best weather for a husky at the moment.
      Thanks for watching Scott. Have a fabulous weekend mate.

      Thanks Lee, for me bushcraft began with camping and foraging, long before I ever heard of the word. I learnt a lot about plants through the foraging, working as a gardener for many years must help too.
      As for the prunus, I really should have recognised that, it is a bird cherry.
      God bless you and yours too mate and thank you very much for watching.

      Thank you Arielle, it's a very nice area. It's really pretty up on the fells too. I will try to get up there more often now the lowlands are getting swarmed with mosquitoes.
      Thanks for stopping by.

    Visited many places in Lappi but never or that region Hetta, looks very nice. And know the Flyfishing is great in the region. Never tasted ants eggs, should do it😄
    Thanx for the video Tim!

      All of Lapland is amazing. I have actually never tried fly fishing, well not properly.
      Thanks for watching Ilari.

      Thanks mate, I will try to do some more videos like this over the summer (even though they don't get so many views). There is far more to the outdoors than just knives and equipment.

    Looks wonderful. Im hoping this summer i can do bicycle trip to lappland, and then hike these trails. Also crazy how hot its been here in more south as well. Mosguitoes here have been in full force for while already, but i think in south they are more early

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft
      @KuukkeliBushcraft  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Everything earlier in the south, even in Rovaniemi, I have been there and been eaten alive when there are absolutely no mosquitoes at all in Hetta. I traveled from here to Helsinki once in May, it was incredible to go from pretty much winter to something very similar to an English spring in a few days.
      Hey mate, give me a shout if you are passing through Hetta. We can have a beer and if you need a place to stay Unni won't mind being deprived of her sofa for a night. Or alternatively I have a Kota by a nice river.

      Thanks for watching mate.

      I have never drank the beer with the Labrador tea. They used to make it back in the old days. It was used as a replacement for hops I think.
      Thanks for watching Jas mate.
      Have a lovely winter.

    Nice video! Do you have ticks in Finland? They're a real problem where I live.

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft
      @KuukkeliBushcraft  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      There are only ticks in the southern half of Finland, here in the far north it is far too cold for ticks, fleas, rats, mice (although we do have a lot of other rodents) and too cold for a lot of other things. Also too cold for most people 🤣.
      Thanks for watching mate.
