      Taiwan~ boba milk tea everyday

    • @Wontonsouplyfe
      @Wontonsouplyfe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Sizzling Grill you do realize it’s served with actual tea with milk and sugar right? They just add boba to it

    • @Wontonsouplyfe
      @Wontonsouplyfe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Sizzling Grill ...... it depends on the drink and the tea shop making the drink. Some drinks such as taro milk tea or fruit milk tea don’t have any tea in it sure, but general milk tea is brewed with black or green tea and then added with milk or sugar. The tea to milk ratio varies depending on the tea shop but most of the time the ratio for the tea is higher. Some tea shops will allow you to choose how much if any sugar you want so to say that “removes all tea quality and flavours” is just wrong. The quality of tea used also depends on the tea shop. Some take it very seriously and will use good quality tea esp if it’s affiliated to a tea brand like Ten Ren and some will only focus on yummy drinks. Your comment, while not entirely wrong, overgeneralises boba milk tea as another “sweet drink”

    • @Wontonsouplyfe
      @Wontonsouplyfe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sizzling Grill actually I have and I love tea, I was using Ten Ren as a better quality in comparison to some other boba shops that don’t use fresh ingredients and uses powder flavour for their tea. (FYI Ten Ren has been around since 1953) Your issue here is that if tea is mixed with sugar and milk and all other stuff then it’s not tea correct? Well does that mean British tea mixed with milk and sugar is not tea then? And some people like to put quite a lot. What about Tibetan yak tea then? Does that not count as tea? Why go about boba milk tea like this? I do agree that putting too much tea and other flavourings destroy the quality of tea which is why when I feel like drinking proper tea I brew/drink it the traditional way. There are many Taiwanese tea farms that I like to patronise and I am well aware of how to brew gong fu tea properly. Everyone has their preferences and as far as I’m concerned, anything that is tea based is tea. I respect your perspective but at this point you are really sound like a “tea snob” who just want to bash anything that does not fit your world view.

    Oh yes, perfect stereotype of British teeth right here.
    Just in case any American people see this. Where British teeth are still fairly crooked as braces are only used for medical needs and seldom for aesthetic reasons , they are not horribly stained as this gentleman's teeth are. Thankfully I can say the days of terrible oral hygiene are behind us.
    Probably all the tea he drinks now that I think about it. That or he chainsmokes 40 cigarettes a day.
    Edit: wow forgotten that I even made this comment. Just to clarify I wasn't being unpleasant towards the man in question. I just wanted to point out that his teeth are not indicative of English people as there is a stereotype that brits have terrible teeth. And of course the staining is probably because of the copious amounts of tea he drinks, given he runs a tea company.Not necessarily because of bad mouth hygiene as I think some people thought I was implying about the gentleman in question

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      "Oral hygiene" has nothing to do with stained teeth. You can't remove tannins stains from the enamel of your teeth with a tooth brush, regardless of how hard or often you try. The only way to remove them is with ultrasounds, usually in a dentist's clinic, though you shouldn't regularly do it more than once a year since it's a rather abrasive treatment.

She doesn’t realize the honour she was given by being able to talk to the 10th generation of a man that his roots brought one of the most of consumed teas in history! (Earl Grey)

    Everyone has some kind of knowledge gap, but mistakenly consider "Earl" as a first name, in an interview about tea with a man named Twinnings, as a native English speaker is somewhat improper.

      This comment is 4 years old I know but you shouldn’t worry about what other people think or do or what’s considered “normal” which is a subjective term anyway tbh. If you like tea with sugar then have sugar, it’s not that deep haha. If someone has a problem with it then that’s *their* own problem, ignore the miserable karens and drink your tea however you want 😋

    I would like to know what people put in their tea without using sugar? Sugar is such an inflammatory thing and if you don't get pure cane sugar you are buying GMO beet sugar which is not good because they have glysophate (ie Roundup).
    I am trying lemon juice.
    Although I am lactose intolerant but heavy cream sounds pretty good.
