He doesn't to fight Jones at Heavyweight because it's low-risk high-reward from a legacy stand point. If we wins, he beat a guy at that guy's first time at the weight class. But if he loses then it's a massive loss and a huge strike against his legacy.
Knightfall people will never forget. They will think about how he had nothing to prove to anybody as he was already considered a great, but he was hung up on trying to beat a guy who cheated in the two prior fights. He needs to beat stipe and leave. Very few actual MMA fans care about those losses.

When champions no longer have any contenders left in their division they move up. Jones doesn't want to go to HW and fight DC because he knows DC would beat him convincingly.

Not at all - it's because he's smart enough to know that beating Jon at HW buys him nothing (for all the reasons he stated re Jon being completely untested at that weight). It's much more personally meaningful for him to potentially beat him at 205.

You need to keep defending the belt, thats the only way how someone can become a Goat, you need to show why you are the best of the divesion and the only way to do that is keep defending and not just only beating 1 guy.

I don't know why everyone wants to see Jones at heavyweight. Looking at him against Anthony Smith and Thiago Santos he doesn't look like a big LHW, he's never struggled with his weight at 205, he's just not a big guy and I think that's why he is looking at Adesanya. I bring up this point because I believe whoever he fights at Heavyweight will have at the very least a 20-30lb advantage. I think if he fights anyone of the big names at Heavyweight he gets overpowered and loses.

Jon jones got busted twice for PEDs and both were before DC's fights. Jon was losing that rematch up to that head kick . Since that fight his performance isn't as impressive as it used to be.
