@Rappin Devour i mean Deontay is doing pretty well. So is Canelo. And Joshua. Quite a few people are making Mayweather money actually. And while it might not be as much as Mayweather pulled in its a lot more than what even Conor makes.
@Rappin Devour nah man. Canelo made 35 mil for his last fight against Kovalev. Thats much closer to mcgregors numbers than anyone in the UFC. Dana is manipulating the math... he’s taking everything Floyd’s made and dividing it by his total fights, which makes Conor’s current payouts of about 30-40 million per fight “Floyd money”. Ppv is why Conor fought. It’ll be interesting to see if he fights now that the ppv model is over.

Lmao dude ufc fighters are paid more than most boxers there is a VERY SMALL portion making more but yea theyre making alot more. You have to be a floyd canelo joshua wilder ESJ to get that grip.....
thats true but boxing is much older and has much more money in the books cant compare wat champs get paid in the sport conner only recently attract enough of a crowd to get them kinds of money. its the undercard that ufc has boxing some what beat in the undercard in the ufc tends to ( obviously not all the time) make more money.
@@ky-passley4769 Exactly, boxing has been around for decades and it will always it's hardcore fan base, legitimized MMA hasnt been around for 20 years yet.
I mean I feel like In ufc if you want to be a big talent you need skill and you need a persona, it’s a mix of real fighting and wwe. The Diaz brothers are great fighters but they don’t have a persona, so they’ll be (in wwe terms) upper mid carders, they might wjn the title and have a short reign but they aren’t good enough in the ring to sustain a long term run and they’re not good enough on the mic ( like mcgregor to build a massive buzz for payperview buys)To make a short run feel long. Everyone on the card has a position and will get paid for that position . Golden boy’s first card had some decent fights but the big bucks to went to a fight that shouldn’t have happened, and just felt sad to watch. Who is THE MAN in the promotion now, Ortiz? He won the saddest match since cm punk and at least punk had a story of the everyday guy that wouldn’t give up ( also was a great professional wrestler and probably had more fans than ortiz). Golden boy will be dead in a year. Ufc will have the same competitors they have now.

Don't believe Dana MULTIPLE fighters including WORLD champions have complained about fighter pay, not just champions but high level fighters as well, Rory MacDonald is a prime example
Angel Barrios fuck yeah! Dana is trying to paint the picture like, "yo my fighters can make Mayweather money... Conor is proof.." uhhhh that's not the issue... Nor does it prove that Dana is looking out for ALL HIS FIGHTERS the way he does McGregor... It doesn't prove that ANY fighter under his banner has the same privilege to get to that level...I could go on and on... The ONLY good defense he has is that the sport is only 18 years old and could NOT have paid their fighters the way boxers get millions in their purse... Oscar, Dana, to Don King to any other promoter out there only have one goal as promoters: make the most MONEY ASAP.... They don't care who they fuck over and only cherish & respect their fighters when that fighter is making them a LOT of money... There are no principles, integrity, nor honor in the fight game... It's a STRAIGHT blood business... To sit there and pretend like he gives a fuck is insulting AF
...that's because Mayweather is his own promotion, so he writes his own paychecks. Conor's last fight earned about $175 million, and the UFC takes maybe 20% of it.
Jaime. R I get that. But any fighter who isn’t an A side fighter will tell you that they might not get another opportunity to prove themselves unless they fill in. They company in my opinion has no appreciation for the talent. Other sports pay their athletes way better and this sport benefits on people putting their life at risk or their well being. You don’t hear about the guy who got brain damaged from being knocked out cold in a fill in fight for an A side fighter.
Realist hypocrite? He didn’t deny that his fighters aren’t enough money, all his saying he’s addressing oscar lies, oscar literally went up there and said fighters are making 50k for a title fight, if i was dana I’d be pissed of too

It was a perfect example, and Conor is still a huge superstar even though he lost. HAHAHAHAH!!! That's Muhammed Ali shit right there!! Loses a fight but never loses the mega superstar persona.
Interesting Dana, so Chuck Tito barely did 50k ppv buys and they made 450k, while Dillishaw Garbrandt 2 did around 500k ppv and neither made more than 300k? Interesting where did all that money go?
That's what I'm saying LOL Dana did a lot good for the sport of MMA but at the cost of being a scumbag and lying through his teeth his entire career. Even his own mother doesn't like them. And I refuse calling a new up-and-coming MMA promoter a liar LOL
Dana will not last long now that this ESPN deal is in full effect. He is the liar who can't deal with hard questions. I would actually like to see the figures or some proof to what he's saying. For all I know, Boxers only need 1 main event to propell them to the big leagues. Where as in UFC i don't really see it as much.
@kmhuis really he doesn't lie well he said he would be fine with a fighters association and a version of the Ali act for mma what did the ufc do spent millions lobbying to stop the Ali act this is all public information by the way

Dana only talked facts. Especially with the reference to the De La Hoya press conference. Oscar was clueless about everyone on the card, and didn't know how to pronounce Liddell's name
I love Max. Dana getting over emotional here. "You're not gonna be honest" "Im always honest. Schaefer built golden boy". Dana ran from that quickly. Boom.
Of course he admitted it because Dana blew up his spot with fact, at that point if he doesn’t admit Schaefer did what he did he will look like an idiot. I don’t like either one of them but it’s obvious this dude was pushing Oscars agenda.
Smoking weed, being suspended for smoking weed, thinking about what fight they want next while smoking weed, bitching about their front loaded contracts... while smoking weed, participating in an iron man race and smoking weed. You know, just smoking weed
Clearly the guy really lying here is Dana. He seems not to listen well to words. Delahoya, said he had fighter calling him tell him this which may not be a lie. A lie is if he actually had the numbers and still fudged the wrong numbers knowing those were not correct. So one I don’t believe he lied about that and I would be interested to google what Ppv buys were for the rematch of those two. Something Dana said was interesting which was he paid Liddell more money to not fight than he did when he fought which to me is the truth. Why would you have to do that if you paid him right the first time even later in his career. I understand as a fledgling sport per-say it is difficult to pay fighters and performers early the right price. It is a bit more of a sacrifice on those fighters. And McGregor clearly hasn’t made Mayweather money, no where near it. He had the biggest payday in a boxing event he clearly didn’t belong in. Mayweather carries him throughout the fight. Oscar was right to tell people not to by the fight. He knew why and if you know fighting sports it was easy to tell. It was a spectacle I didn’t pay for or partake myself. It’s like if Floyd went into the Octagon. Why would you? Oscar wasn’t lying about that either. To me Dana has a fragile ego and is easily crossed which is part of the reason those fighters are calling Oscar which I do believe is the truth. Lastly, truth be told Dana’s fighter don’t make nearly as much as the boxers today so that is also another issue he will have in the future. Not saying Golden Boy will be successful, but I do believe they will have an impact if they do decide to compete with the MMA. It just might dare others to create their own fighting brand which in essence can destroy whatever governing body the UFC league has. Oh one more thing Dana needs to pay real close attention to and that is the platform in which all fights will be viewed on and I am sure he is aware of it and really needs to concentrate on that before calling someone a liar and coke head. It seems as if the words of Oscar flew over his bald head.
i think what dana said was that he paid chuck more to not fight than oscar did to have him fight is he fudging numbers here? yes, for sure. conor has never made mayweather money and the ufc could pay their fighters more. but the thing is, the better you are and the more popular you are, the more you are gonna get paid. if the new unknown fighters made big money in their first fights in the ufc they probably wouldnt have as strong a motivation to reach the top. price fighting in a nutshell. also, while the top tier boxers make more than the top tier mma fighters, as far as i know when you look to undercard fighters and such, mma fighters in the ufc makes equal or more per fight. the big take away is rly the reebok deal that prevents sponsorships. all in all, i think they're both lying and delahoya seems like he tried to get a quick cash grab in the mma business off of two big names. the fight should never have happened and it was a shit move to put it on, which i think is the main reason why dana is rly mad, although its definitely not the only reason.
thekillingtomat No brother. Your incorrect there. He stated he paid Chuck more not to fight than when he fought. Had nothing to do about Delahoya’s pay but what he paid Chuck after his career was over. Also, the undercard boxers get paid more than the MMA guys. Always have and always will because of Dana’s business model. Delahoya’s shit move as you call it was not as bad as the shit move Dana did putting McGregor up against Mayweather. At least both fighters were in the same sport. Were they old as hell, yes, but more of what you call a shot move on Dana. Also, Dana is not ready for a competitor with a different mindset. He is very scared and Oscar knows this and is using it to make him look like the pr&$ he already is which is a guy who never fought competitively. Who cares if you know their names, do you know what it means to be on that level? I bet he doesn’t which is the reason fighters are looking at Oscar and not just boxers but MMA guys as well. Look, I have been watching boxing since the early 80s and MMA before it was MMA. The real shit move is a guy who calls another a liar when he is the bigger liar of the two. He doesn’t pay even his top tier guys squat. It’s laughable and the model he has will only last until someone comes along and says you know what, screw this model, I am making a model inwhich the fighter will be paid handsomely especially top tier guys. Do you know what a smoker is? Please don’t google it and be honest. That is how boxing used to be and still is in specific areas of the country. Boxing especially in its lowest ranks is much grittier. Those guys that make it out of there are the real deal and always have been. And of course they don’t make as much money. You are preaching to the you know what. The point you are missing is that Dana’s model won’t last and he knows it. MMA is here to stay with or without the UFC but not with that model. That too may take a decade or two to change and you will see the fighter take their talents somewhere else and put their money where there mouth is. That is where it will go. Honestly, that is the only way the fighters will ever make that Mayweather, Tyson, Leonard, Ali, Marciano, Louis Money.
The whole goldenboy card was an absolute disaster from start to finish. From the promotion, De La Hoya not knowing the rest of the main-card fighter's names in a shambles of a press conference, to the card itself. The whole card was filled with AMATEUR bouts and washed up fighters in their late 30s or 40s. Only Deron Winn somebody 5 fights into his career was the only legit fighter on the ENTIRE card. The Chuck debacle topped it off. How would sonething so unprofessional be able to compete with the UFC ? Not even a well managed promotion like Bellator, who have a roster with some world class fighters and a great promoter in Scott Coker can compete with the UFC. They legitimately have like 80% of the top talent in MMA. When you have people thinking UFC=MMA then YOU know a brand has swollowed a whole sport. They are an untouchable monopoly
Rafa aka TheBootyWhisperer Brother, did you not listen to what was said. Those were the fighters who were not under contract. I don’t think you see the main point here. Dana will have a problem soon enough. You have top fighters making little money compared to what the UFC league makes in its events. Doesn’t matter what Oscar really did in that first MMA shin-dig. What matters is that he half heartedly promoted something with old fighters and other fighters who were not great or great anymore but people still bought it. As I have said before UFC is a league but nowhere as dominant as let’s say the NFL, NBA, MLB or the NHL. That we can agree with I am sure. Fighting is a one man sport and technically not a team sport if you don’t count a fighter’s corner. So what do you think would happen if two top fighters left UFC and got picked up by golden boy? That is all it would take. It would cause a trickle down effect. He is only as good as his top tier fighters. Once those fighters realize they can make more money somewhere else, like anyone else, would leave.
@@Kalmar917 People still bought it ? Oh, you mean the 25k people who bought that shitshow ? Don't know if 25k PPV buys can be regarded as a success to be honest. People with half a brain could tell you it isn't. Also, you didn't actually touch into any of my arguments in your rambling post, let alone rebut them; only thing you did was throw up random straw-man fallacies. How can a promotion that "half-heartedly" puts on atrocious cards rival the biggest juggernaut in the sport ? If you are truly a MMA fan (which I doubt) you would see that, that card was pathetic. Why should Goldenboy be better than a professional and proven MMA promotion like Bellator with several elite fighters and a promoter in Scott Coker that knows what he's doing ? Why should they manage what Bellator couldn't do over years and years, and that is establish themselves as a serious financial competitor to the UFC ? And yes, the UFC is as big as the NBA in MMA. Just like the NBA the UFC is the croesus of their respective sports. Young people who play basketball dream about playing in the NBA when they grow up. Young people who train MMA dream about being in the UFC when they grow up. That's also why the UFC (just like the NBA) will continue to be the synonym of a whole sport. They will continue to grow, continue to have the best roster and certainly continue to monopolize the MMA market. Other promotions will never have the same prestige as the UFC. That's just a fact, go to any MMA gym and ask around you will see. Also, yes the mid-tier and upper-tier fighters in the UFC deserve to get paid more but once you're a champion and you get a small piece of the huge revenue the UFC generates via PPV points you get paid SIGNIFICANTLY more than in other promotions. So to say other MMA promotions pay more than the UFC is just flat out wrong. There is no ali act in MMA like in boxing, hence the promoter always get's a larger pie of the money cake in MMA, but if you're a champion in the UFC you do get certain priviliges that you don't get anywhere else. By the way because of the fact there is no ali act in MMA, that low-life scumbag Oscar is making his way into MMA. He's looking to cash out by exploiting fighters that he doesn't give a fuck about (e.g. Chuck), like the little slimey boxing promoter that he is. Do you honestly think a proven cokehead, that is as shady but with less wit and connections than Dana would have the best interest of his fighters and the sport at heart ? You are having a laugh if you believe that lol. Chuck got the same purse for that "Goldenboy MMA" card as he got 10 years ago by Dana! Ffs. 100%. I've heard that for almost a decade. Ask Diaz bros lol
But isn't it cause UFC doesn't make enough money.
👍

FIRST TIME Danna ever talked numbers in history and all to tear someone down.....I love it
Clearly the guy really lying here is Dana. It seems as if the words of Oscar flew over his bald head.
i think what dana said was that he paid chuck more to not fight than oscar did to have him fight
is he fudging numbers here? yes, for sure. conor has never made mayweather money and the ufc could pay their fighters more. but the thing is, the better you are and the more popular you are, the more you are gonna get paid. if the new unknown fighters made big money in their first fights in the ufc they probably wouldnt have as strong a motivation to reach the top. price fighting in a nutshell.
also, while the top tier boxers make more than the top tier mma fighters, as far as i know when you look to undercard fighters and such, mma fighters in the ufc makes equal or more per fight. the big take away is rly the reebok deal that prevents sponsorships.
all in all, i think they're both lying and delahoya seems like he tried to get a quick cash grab in the mma business off of two big names. the fight should never have happened and it was a shit move to put it on, which i think is the main reason why dana is rly mad, although its definitely not the only reason.
thekillingtomat
No brother.
Rafa aka TheBootyWhisperer
Brother, did you not listen to what was said.
@@Kalmar917
People still bought it ?
Ffs. I actually don't see you having a clue about combat sports whatsoever and I also don't see the point in continuing this pointless debate. Have a good day

It’s his word against yours ...
Dana should show the numbers on paper from the actual accounts that really show it well it goes for both parties
Canelo confirming that Richard Schaefer was the string-puller at Golden Boy makes this video so much better. De La Hoya is a blemish on the sport.
Tony Ferguson the type of guy to crash a random wedding for free drinks
Wtf that's probably true. But random
Nobody:........
Dana: "First of all..!"
When lawyers call Dana White to represent them.
Calling someone a liar while you don't have the best track record of being honest. Lol ok Dana
Danny G I’m absolutely agree with white said.and that’s true Oscar is a big liar.bcuz Oscar lied in he’s past interview with Larry King Live and Larry asked to Oscar and says did you got hurt with Pacquiao’s punches and Oscar says no I didn’t get hurt it just an emotional.so that’s a big lies right there.and right after the fight and someone asked him in he’s interview that if he got hurt with Pacquiao’s punches and Oscar said yes he really has a power that hurt me....
Well everyone has been dishonest in their life
4:04 'He's a liar!' I'm thinking that's uncle Dana's catchphrase, with that specific tone. He needs to trademark it 😁
You gotta love Dana having a rant
3:34 “this sport is 18 years old “ lol i thought its on its 25th anniversary
He was meaning since they purchased it
How do you turn off the suggested videos I wanna see Dana's face at 5:30😭😭
"Conor McGregor is..."
...changes topic
😂🔥
The sport of boxing 🥊 needs a Dana White that will make the fights happen no bullsht and true competition!
never happen because boxers get paid dana keeps the money and pays them chump change
Emilio X and ufc fights doesnt happen no bulshit, its almost the same...
@@liandriunreal UFC fighters make more money then boxers and they have a shitty greedy bald mofo who takes all the money but they still make more money than boxers
@@wooza5919 not even bro lol
Reason why Dana gets more passionate about this is because Chuck is actually a good friend of his. Promoting a fight when he's so old and more vulnerable is seen as putting his friend at direct risk.
4:07 lol that's pretty much it.
"Dana keeps 80% to himself"
Yeah, and thousands of people in staff, advertising, organisation and so on do what they do for charity. It's easy to hate on Dana White, because - quiet frankly - he's not the most likeable guy, but ignoring that he has the biggest MMA buisness in the world to manage and pay a whole lot of people to do the the most various jobs is just silly.
Well said
The nba and nfl also has to pay all that staff and still gives 50% to the athletes.
@@AprilRules Those are team sports with +30 individual teams owned by billionaires who got massive tax cuts. Yeah they get 50% but you have to pay 5 billion of YOUR tax money to so those billionaires can get a new stadium. But enjoy paying taxes and that money going straight to owners pockets but atleast you can scream 50%
@@mikko3 you can not justify Dana’s net worth and say Nick Diaz was fairly paid 50k for the biggest ppv of the time
@@AprilRules Lets not forget Nick had 13W/10L record in the UFC before Conor fight. Tell me a boxer who is 13/10 and made more than Nick. You get food coupons if you are 13/10 in boxing
Good job Dana! Stand up for your company and your fighters. First off it doesn’t matter what you pay YOUR fighters. If they agree to fight for a certain amount of money then they agreed to fight for that. It doesn’t matter how much money the company makes. The company should make more than the fighters in order to sustain the business. Secondly you pay all your guys by how much they are worth. If they bring in more business then they get paid more. And you always give them large bonuses if they bring in more than expected. Screw these jerk offs that are hating on the UFC and don’t like the fact that MMA is better than boxing. De la Hoya was a great boxer but he’d get his ass stomped on in the UFC. That’s exactly why Floyd mayweather is scared of the octagon. Because he knows his ass would get beat down. But good job standing up for yourself and calling out these liars. Most people just stand back and let it pass. That’s why so many people get away with lies and trolling. These idiots need a chuck Norris style kick to their face.
He's clearly exploiting fighters. Does that make him a good business man? Yes. Good person? No.
"He,he, hou, du, du, du, ho, ho, ho" Dana white
It's pronounced Lie-dell, Dana.
Haunted Hobo no it’s not u idiot
@@jhonreckner9155 Relax, he's making fun of GayLaHoya for mispronouncing Chuck's last name.
This brought the old Dana back, loved it
Must have missed this show back in December. Dana had me on his side until about half way through when he wouldn't answer Max's question and kept calling Oscar de la Hoya an idiot.......
