    Your teaching technique is superb! Vocabulary is presented in alphabetical order, therefore homonyms and similar sounding words to my American ears are reviewed back to back, very helpful. You are a natural, gifted teacher. Also obviously very talented, it appears to me you also have many Spanish speaking students as well as English speaking students. jia you! I also enjoy and benefit greatly when you make a point to mention the difference in word order, grammar, and as you so adeptly explain... the target / object of the verb in Chinese. You also speak very clearly and slow enough for me to focus... (in your HSK3

    As an English teacher living in China, I confess that this is a wonderful video. 2 hours long too. Wow, just WOW! Probably took a hundred or a few hundred hours to make this.
    It’s nice because I have been studying the sound and how to write these words in skritter. Now I can use this as a pod cast while I walk around, ride the subway, or whatever.
    Thank you 🙏

    I watched your HSK1 video a couple of times to get used to the words. One thing I really appreciated was how you translated sentences word for word so we could understand how the sentence is formed in Chinese. It also helped me learn the other words in the sentence. I hope you can do that again if you make similar videos 🙏

      I teach Chinese language in a creative and funny way.
      Know yourself as well as your opponents or partners.
      Learning a completely different language is funnier and more thought-provoking. Learning Chinese can help you get firsthand and comprehensive information and analysis about China.
      Chinese characters still retain their pictographic origins. Knowing what the characters look like originally can help understand the meanings and remember them vividly.
      I’ve spent about 100,000 hours studying English humor and Western culture, and many years studying Chinese culture and jokes. My native language is Chinese.

    I appreciate all your hard work with these videos and the flashcards. I utilize mine everyday as I prepare for my move to China this summer. I do have a question for you. Pian yi translates to cheap/inexpensive. I am American and we often separate those two meanings. Inexpensive is something of quality at a lower or good price whereas "cheap" usually has a derogatory meaning of being inexpensive because of poor quality. Does "pian yi" reflect both ways of stating inexpensive or cheap or is there another way of expressing the derogatory version of cheap? I want to make sure I use it correctly and not accidentally offend someone. Thank you again for your help.

    • @yiminchinese
      @yiminchinese  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      wow Mitzi, I didn't know it, thanks for sharing. And to answer your question, in Chinese, the word "pian yi" only refers to low price, not related with the quality. 😊
