My favorite four fingers 4 fretz pick down up down up all fretz all strings the whole neck From nut a great finger exercise good for muscle memory and picking
I'm a pinky dude been that way for a long long years😂 great lesson David just going through C and G is a finger twister but the whole circle of 5ths that's a work out alright 👍🤘
It NEVER occurred to me to use 3 tigers. I've used 4 from the get go. I also learnt to play the caged and 3nps modes using 3 fingers and using the first to hit bass notes. That took a lot of hard work.
Same fret on adjacent strings is a classic tricky problem. Robert Fripp has a move he calls the "finger pivot," which uses the same finger to execute both notes. The fingertip is placed between the two strings, facing straight down toward the fretboard, and is rocked from one side to the other to play the first note one one string, then the second on the adjacent string. The motion actually comes from the shoulder, a tiny motion that slightly moves the whole arm and thus the hand, rocking the end segment of the finger back and forth. But that's not always necessary - oftentimes the two notes can be fretted just fine using two different fingers. The finger pivot is handy when only one finger is available because of what the others have to do before and after.
@@greg77hot I mostly see Michael Schenker using the mixolydian mode in Box#5 and Box#4 often. Most other rock guitarist just only use minor pentatonic but Schenker does use the mixolydian 7 notes motifs in box#4 and box#5 mostly on the lower strings with his half cocked wah to make those UFO schenker riffs
Your contribution to the guitar should always be remembered.

This is great. Is it ok to roll a finger when crossing strings? Rather than using a different finger on the same fret when crossing strings.
