True acrylic, like Vallejo, brushes better than Tamiya. Tamiya, on the other hand, is an acrylic lacquer, allowing for its durability. Tamiya can be brushed but it typically requires their retarder. I like to use Vallejo for the smaller stuff like seat cushions and belts and stowage on tanks.
