You remember when we were little we would walk up and down our neighborhood after it rained and catch crawfish in the pooled up water on the road? Too many minnow traps, one is enough. Just kidding, I'm old and don't like the extra work. In my trap, I steal some of the old ladies pantyhose, some dry dog or cat food, and a piece of string. Cram some food into the hose, tie it closed, stomp on it (it breaks it up, flows down the creek, attracts bait), tie it to the bottom of the trap, inside of it. Find a place with a little current and you get you some bait. Didn't figure you would mind the pantyhose since your already in the blue bra's. Great video

I put one of them in river once,when I pulled it out it was packed full of water snakes,I had to get some one else to release them,because I'm scared of them
The fish looked like a eastern mudminnow, darters look the same but more colorful and fin placement ik I'm really late to answer but I don't think anyone else said

That minnow is a red nose dace. We have them here in Pa. Also they have black nose dace and northern red belly dace.

next time try dry dog food for the craw fish bait it also works great for chumming catfish for that just tie a rock onto a cheap bag of dog food and drop it in a spot you want too fish a few hours before say on your lunch break then that night catfish will be all over it
btw if you ever want to catch some Texas cats let me know I lived an entire year on only fish i could catch. and there are some monsters here.
