" And so rose the ghost of his next and blackest opera..."
The opera of the operas !
Great strings for such low numbers...makes for a great balance.

A classic moment! Thank you for watching, and please consider subscribing if you enjoyed!
@@QueenCityOperaQCO I enjoyed it so much. It was a masterful performance. Subscribed!
Why is nobody talking about that Donna Anna and Don Ottavio just killed theirselves? I'm pretty sure this wasn't in the original libretto... but it's still an interesting choice though.
Merci pour la traduction Anglaise! ( j'aurai dû choisir Italien au lycée)
Please put in the time stamps so the music majors can easily find act 2, scene one. Thanks.
1:26:43 is act 2, scene 1. Thanks so much for watching this production! Please subscribe if you enjoy. It means a lot to us!

I hate it when they leave out the closing sextet.

The horns are too loud
What is a parody of Mozart with clumsy singers? Bravo greyness.
Thank you for the translation and subtitles. This version was substandard in every way. Looked like a high school production. Sorry.
The subtitles and translations were very good. I have watched many many productions of Don Giovanni. This is in some ways one of the best. Let us start with the recording. This is close to what you would see and hear if you attended an actual performance. No body mikes. There would be no mixing of sounds from multiple microphones. No multiple cameras with a video director changing what you see as he thought your attention should be directed. If you were in the audience all you would hear is the sound from the stage as it reaches your own ears and all you would see is what you could see from the single seat that you occupied. Different from most recordings, yes, substandard, I guess that is dependent on your standard. Which brings me to my second point. This comes across as a real stage play with music. The dialog is very clear both in the subtitles and in the Italian as it is performed. The scenery is rudimentary, but the action on stage is quite amazing. Just watch vedrai carino. More to the point, just listen to the music and the words and watch it. I enjoyed this production and I saw the Don Giovanni in ways I had not seen before. I do agree that if you want a more polished production this is not for you. If you want a more complete production this is not for you. If you want a production that may be closer to what was presented by Mozart then this would not be a bad place to start.
8:34 i think someone is COMING!
The photography is too far away from the singers. And it's very annoying that the subtitles change font size very dramatically, going from so small they're hard to read to so large they fill the bottom of the screen with a single word. there are better versions on youtube.
