Actually, when it comes to choose a mushroom hunting knife I would focus on razor thickness, brush (a must have) and folding (or not) feature. From my experience razor should be as thin as possible, brush must by medium to hard and I don't like knife to be folding (there is no time to open/close it, and its better/safer to have it in knife cover to fast access). So far for years I haven't find knife matching my criteria and maybe someday I'll try make my own. The Opinel No 8 is probably one of the best universal mashroom knives anyway. If you like it so mutch I assume you will even more like Old Bear mushroom folding knife. The locking mechanism is similar but razor is less curved - it may be better for every day (garden) use. It can be find on Amazon too. Goor review, keep it coming :)
I really like that Opinel! Very nice! Thanks for sharing this!
@@davidwilliams1805 Me too! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Cool video & knife. Many thumbs up. Stay well & safe.
Thank you!
A coworker got me this knife for Christmas, I haven't had a chance to use it mushroom hunting or in the garden yet but the blade seems really nice!
@@cheesefries7436 I really like mine! Thanks for watching and commenting!
