A few minor corrections followed by a big one: Tapinella atrotomentosa is not poisonous, just very bitter, and is eaten here in Europe, pickled in vinegar. Hypholoma capnoides is a very tasty mushroom growing in europe and north america, so not all hypholoma are poisonous. The "blusher mushroom", Amanita rubescens (or Amanita novinupta in the north east of North America), is very easy to distinguish, also you can't do anything wrong with sect. Vaginatae (those with volva and without ring) or sect. Caesareae, so you really don't have to avoid genus Amanita at all. Armillaria sp are actually luminescent but very good to eat (also you're normally not in the situation to check if your mushrooms are luminescent when you're collecting). Suillelus sp and Neoboletus sp are red pored boletes, but very good to eat. Not all fungi are saprobionts. Boletus edulis, the mushroom you present while saying this, is a mycorrhizal symbiont. The Leccinoid fungi were split into two genera a few years ago. Now there is not only genus Leccinum, but also genus Leccinellum. Also, it's unfortunately not possible to ID Hydnum species without microscopy anymore, so you should not speak of Hydnum repandum, but of Hydnum sp. Finally and most important: Many of the mushrooms you collect (especially 2:54 and 5:30, but also 2:32, and other examples later in) are WAY past their prime. i really wouldn't eat them anymore if they looked that way. most intoxications come from eating too old mushrooms, not from eating the wrong species. also, you are doing educational work here and should have in mind that your audience will likely collect mushrooms that look even more questionable than the ones you collect, so you should only collect the best quality mushrooms in such videos, and certainly adress the topic of too old mushrooms causing food poisoning.

I know people in Europe eat Paxillus involutis (deadly poisonous) closest relative to Tapinella atrotomentosa which is listed poisonous in many field guides.
Where is in my video did you see Amanita rubescents? I am showing Amanita flavorubens or Yellow American blusher, which is listed as poisonous mushroom in many field guides
I didn’t called all mushrooms saprobionts, but recommended not to collect mushrooms in ecologically dirty area , because they are reducents and can absorb heavy metals, radionuclides, because they are reducents by biological nature, prof me wrong. Besides I said that King Boletus is mycorrhizal mushrooms, please watch it with attention before you make comments.
Hydnum repandum is really easy to distinguish from related species by its size and that family of mushrooms do not have poisonous “look alike”, so it is impossible to make deadly mistakes. Isn’t my video about how to avoid poisoning?
And the last comment: even if I collect good eatable mushrooms “past due” and not in “prime” condition and cook them well , they not going to make me DEAD!
But if I make mistake and collect instead of Hypholoma capnoides, for example H. fasciculare ("sulphur tuft") or Galerina margarita, it will happen, so I generally recommend, especially for beginners, not to collect gills mushrooms. Besides Smoked gills Hypholoma can make people sick as well. It is categorized as “eatable with caution” even for European people.
Foragers need to learn how to identify mushrooms in all the stages of development and I show that mushrooms only for identification and do not recommend to eat old or rotten mushrooms!

@@Classyflowers 1. Hypholoma fasciculare is not a deadly poisonous mushroom, but food poisoning can be deadly, so eating mushrooms past their prime can really be dangerous. Either way, you should not only avoid deadly poisonings while collecting mushrooms, you should also avoid mushrooms that make you sick, and old mushrooms can really do that to you. 2. It's Galerina marginata, not Galerina margarita. 3. Maybe it is not important to distinguish every mushroom up to species level if you only care for its culinary properties, but you can just say that. you can say: "there are a lot of different species in that group and only experts can distinguish them, but all of those species are edible." maybe you did not know that there are very many Hydnum species, which would be fine, but maybe just acknowledge that and move on. No need to pretend that you did not mention this on purpose. Maybe just acknowledge if you do not know something. Especially if it concerns stuff that you eat and possible food poisoning. Maybe, just maybe, you should thank those correcting you, instead of posting self-righteous paragraphs in which you defend eating too old mushrooms.
