Hey Garrett, love your channel and your mission. It's helped me get started. Please make tutorials on selling books using an Amazon FBA pro account. If you made a paid course I would buy it! I'm particularly interested in how you use the bluetooth scanner, Scout IQ, and Amazon's spreadsheets together in your listing process. I'm also interested in any additonal tips you have to add items to your inventory faster and if the pro version helps you be "Ready to Pack" faster. Honestly, any tips in labeling, boxing, and shipping faster would also be appreciated. I'm still new to the process, so I'm just figuring out how to do everything faster haha.
Hey B, thank you for the encouragement. I plan on looking for some time saving things next. The first to look into is if the Pro account will speed up the process enough for it to make sense. As far as a paid course goes I do not plan on making one but if you head over to my website familymanfreedom.com and sign up for the free course (right now basically the same thing here) then you will get the option to buy the checklists I have made for a very low price if you want to show support. The checklist price will be going up as I add more to them. Checklist will make you go faster since you do not have to keep looking up the videos.
@@FamilyManFreedom Happy to say I've already bought the checklist! Speed is definitely the most important thing. I'm also learning how to use Keepa to learn price history and if things sell frequently or if ranks are temporarily higher because a few of the books were sold recently when they usually don't sell. I highly recommend you check out Jarrylew if you haven't. He specializes in selling textbooks for better margin and is all about efficiency too. Keep up the great work and message!
Thanks for the encouragement! Doing good here! Planning some more content about this stuff and trying to figure out what to branch out to next. Any suggestions?
Thank you so much for giving so detailed information,i am trying to start soon, how do we price these used books? Say if the the lowest one is 16.77$fba,so shud we price the same or can we go little bit below that ?
Hello Sabitha, First off thank you for the encouragement! For pricing it depends on your goal. I would never under cut by much unless it was a really expensive book I really wanted to move fast. In most cases I would match the lowest price for prime in my same condition. Your pricing depends on if you want to make the most profit per book or just move them fast for cash flow.
@@FamilyManFreedom I appreciate your response! I would also match the lowest price for prime.really looking forward for ur upcoming videos! :),great content!
hey please help. I just got my Eyoyo scanner and I downloaded and got the $14 per month subscription for ScoutIQ but when I pressed the button to link ScoutIQ to my Amazon Seller Account it told me that I had to have the professional version of the Amazon Seller account?! So I can't just have the individual Seller account and have scoutiq? I have to pay that $39 per month professional Amazon seller account?
Yes, to connect scout IQ to Amazon seller account you need to have the professional account to have API access. What I do is get the scout IQ with the downloaded database. Then you do not have to connect to the Amazon database. Since I am doing this mainly at high ROI events like library book sales I do not hold the Scout IQ subscription the whole time. I usually sign up every other month about.. or I will get it for a library book sale then use it for the next month. Let is slide for 1 month then get it for the next library book sale. It is worth it for me since at the library book sale I will get 50-100 books which will easily cover the cost and the database is way faster than the linked version that uses an internet connection.
It is going well considering the time that I put in. Right now I have found for me the best return on investment is when I go to library book sales. And there is one in my town every other month. Aside from that I scan at the swap meet or at yard sales that I am already going to. Also, if the pile of books is too big I limit myself since I am usually there with my kids. I really like this business but I want it to fit in the already there times unless it is significant ROI like the library book sale, but even at these my kids usually come and find some books for themselves while I scan for 40min to an hour. I am trying to think of other ways to source books that are high ROI. But, I do not want to buy tons of books and have to get rid of the ones I do not want like buying bulk boxes of books. If I were to scan through thrift stores I would definitely get more books going. But I do not want to do that. This challenge is both a proof of concept along with finding some really high ROI things to do to make extra cash.
@@FamilyManFreedom glad to hear this and I’m happy for you things are working out. I have 2 boys and try to keep the mom at home without working. I don’t mind taking the extra time to look for books listing etc, I just needed the reassurance that this can help my family. Thanks for getting back with me and also, have you had a issue with books that require approval, then getting sent into a loop of getting approved? Have a couple books I need approval when I ask it gets approved then just sends me back to the search. Have a good one thanks for the good content man!!!
This can definitely bring in some extra cash. For the loop you are talking about I think that is a glitch in the mobile app. Does it happen if you list books on desktop?
@@FamilyManFreedom I was able to figure it out and list my extra books! Thanks man. Defiantly keep up the content us dads could use it for sure. Take care my friend !
Not sure, obviously I wish they were less. Haha But if you think that they are doing all customer aquasition, marketing, shipping.. it would probably cost me more to setup a system to sell these books.
Good Stuff. I started my amazon journey about a month ago and your videos are very helpful. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the encouragement June!
This should speed us up a little and give us more time.

What was the problem?
Was it the phone app bug or something else?
Why FBA fees are so expensive
