Fabri-Fix glue by Beacon will help you avoid the sewing! It works fantastically for fabric and pretty much anything else you could think of too! Nailed it again guys!! Love the paint job on the mask!!
The Spirit Ghostface wasn't too good, so to see this correctly built and screen accurate Scream prop is refreshing. For the next makeover, could I suggest turning Gerry into a resin zombie from Back 4 Blood?
@@WickedMakers personally, I’d wonder if you’d like to transform some regular zombie props into the zombies from call of duty zombies. Depends on which one you’d want, but if you want to do the WW2 zombies there could be a German, American, and Japanese soldier zombie like in world at war. You could do the yellow glowing eyes and everything! Maybe even do the decayed war torn uniforms with bullet holes, ripped sleeves, and cracked boots that they wear too
This looks so cool!!!!!! Wicked!!!! Love This so much!!! He’s definitely better than the one spirit already sells!!!!!! Hands down!! Amazing job on him!! Y’all just get better and better everyday! Love it!!
Wicked Makers please respond to this comment. How do you do it so good? Last time I made an animatronic It looked like a deformed Easter Bunny. What is the secret to making this so good?!
D Menace, now that's just mean. Nearly everyone can practice and improve purely technical skills. Creativity is less learn-able but no one says your crafting has to be original.
I'm actually glad you guys are making your own ghost face from the hauntress. Cause I think, (I'm not 100% sure) the ghost face animatronic was a bit shorter and way more expensive. So you guys are definitely going with the cooler/ possibly cheaper route!
Quick tip: If you want a really easy and effective metal look, especially for knives/swords, use aluminum duct tape! It works really well to sell the effect of a metal object. Apply it tight across the surface, making sure to work out any wrinkles you may get, and then take some scotch bright to it, or steel wool to get it extra shiny. From there, you can weather it just about any way you want in order to make it look old/used. This technique is used very often in films and what not. Adam Savage is filled with knowledge like this for prop making!

Ps. - You should definitely lookup the older Spirit animatronic Ghostface from 2011!! (I have a video on my channel if you’d like to see too) Looking forward to your next animatronic overhaul!

*Really* glad you guys are making videos outside of the normal spooky season. Since Punished Props doesn't really seem to make regular videos anymore, its super nice to see you guys stepping up.
Just a tip on terminology: There is a HUGE difference between "drying" and "curing". Drying occurs through the process of EVAPORATION. Curing occurs through the process of CROSS-LINKING. Therefore, an acrylic paint "dries" by the water content evaporating from the paint. Whereas, EPOXY, (or epoxy putty, like "Apoxy-Sculpt"), "cures" through the chemical cross-linking of the mixing of parts "a" and part "b". It should also be noted that when something "dries", it reduces in mass, (because the liquid portion has evaporated). And, when something "cures" there is usually, virtually no shrinkage. When there is any shrinkage in a material that cures, it tends to be from re-alignment of its' crystaline, molecular structure. So, hopefully, that is enough, "Mr. Science" for you, today. 😊
U GUYS DID SUCH A GREAT JOB! I also created a ghostface animatronic a few months ago but I love the idea of recreating the new mask! Thanks for the inspiration! I’ll totally do that now! 🤟
the glitter spray is a great way to mimic the lurex fabric in the films. if you really want screen accuracy, i recommend redoing the tassles on the sleeves as the funworld costume is completely different. do note that the shape of the tassles is movie dependent

Same, I'll be mid-way through a drawing, hate how it looks, and start a new one that doesn't even look as good as the one before and let the regret kick in…
Great job as always but if you read this i have two tips. when doing metal stuff always paint the object in a darker color before adding the metal paint, for mirror chrome or shiny metal always paint the object black first. let that dry and then paint the metal paint. For the crackling medium after the medium is dried the third layer (Paint that will crack) have to be applied with ONE stroke not many strokes, if done with one big stroke the cracks will be even better and bigger. but if the small cracks is what you want then you can do what you did. i just wanted to leave this here if its helpfull for someone.
Even tough Spirit alredy did a ghostface like this. I'm glad you still did your own. It turned out even better. Also I love the glitter detail. Movie and costume ghost face always were different with the fabric and the cut of the arm fabric. So it was nice to see you work in the glitter without buying yards of glitter fabric. Also would make modifying the store bought ghost face even easier for toughs that have him. This has to be my favorite tutorial of modifying hands youve done (not including Thing. Like if I did your Krampus tutorial. I'm just gonna put the werewolf hands on with this method.
Just so you guys know, super glue does work on fabric. However, it sets up very hard and can often cause the fabric to crack. For this reason, fabric glue is the better option even though it takes a long time to dry because after it's dried it still malleable.
