Gordon and Jokic are more than the sum of their parts. They compliment each other so so well.
Jok + Everyone else on the team is a good combo. It's crazy. What's even more amazing is that elevated play is rubbing off on everyone and they are legit getting better. I don't think there is another team that is close when it comes to how much synergy these guys play with. It's like the definition of being "bought-in" with these guys.

The nuggets are an example of a well constructed roster. Simply throwing "superstars" together will not win championships. But still teams either still don't get it, or are content with making money off the superstars popularity.
Gordon is more important to the Nuggets than most know. He's critical.
Most definitely. He’s the Dennis Rodman of this team with slightly less rebounding ability but more scoring ability. But a dominant physical presence in the paint, just like Rodman.

I'd argue that Murray is equally as important but the Gordon trade vaulted the Nuggets into a perennial title contender. MPJ is great but he's a luxury. Regardless tho, Jokic took the Nuggets to a conference finals before Gordon got there and with MPJ and Murray injured. Jokic is quietly becoming the goat of this era
Beside Jokic, Gordon is the most consistent player too..

AG and Joker have better chemistry than any tandem I’ve ever seen. In jokers early years he had the Manimal in the dunker spot- they looked INCREDIBLE. Some of his best highlights were with Faried.
If murray & mpj stayed healthy they would have won 2021 2022 championships. AG was the missing link. KCP is the cherry on top.
Agreed. I think their bench lacks a playmaking a little bit, but I honestly think they can compete with Boston, especially with their size

Gordon has the athleticism of an elite 3 and the strength and size superior to most 5s. Hes a fantastic defender. His weakness is offensive skill.
That’s why he complements jokic perfectly. Jokic has all the skill in the world. Whilenjokic is a good defender he’s not elite and can struggle with the most mobile bigs. Gordon can take that burden. And then jokics relative lack of athleticism is countered by is telepathic connection with Gordon. And jokic in turn gets Gordon easier shots that rely on his athleticism and strength instead of his skill.
Whoever thought let’s pair these guys deserves a raise. It’s perfect.
100% agreed. Jokic is great but, guys like MPJ, Murray, Gordon and KCP are such good cutters that they help him out. In turn Jokic elevates all of their games.

This is the first team that I have ever witnessed that has a "true TEAM" philosophy. They are ten deep and no one will act like they are the reason for the victories. Too many cry baby stars in the NBA already. This team just strives for the end game which is a W. Each player is unselfish and disciplined and a lot of that goes with a shout out to Malone and his leadership. Love this team and respect them all.

Gordon and KCP are extremely valueble for the nuggets. Gordon is the perfect player for Јокић. It's so beautiful to watch them play. I'm so happy for AG because he's finally winning and he has found his role in the league and he plays it perfectly. If Gordon stays healthy they're repeating. Peyton Watson is a combination of KCP and AG. Bro can defend, shoot and catch lobs. He'll be crucial for them in this years playoff run.
Jokic is the engine for sure but the Nuggets can't beat the big teams without Gordon. Gordon is possibly the most underrated player in the league. He's easy buckets. Players can see him cutting, throw the ball up where no one can get it, and as long as it's somewhere in the arena, Gordon will go get it and it's a bucket. And maybe his biggest attribute.. he takes no credit for himself. Love this guy!
Jokic is the computer and transmission, Gordon is the motor, MPJ the heater, KCP is the catalytic converter and Murray be that muffler, the bench is the chasis. This team is a muscle car!
All of that plus how well he plays defense. Easily the Nuggets' best defensive player
Jokic has a 6th sense for AG open near the rim
i think his time as the star of his own show helped him a lot into becoming an elite role player, even if he never put it all together in orlando bc they asked him too much you can see the decision making, handle, passing and post play that being the centerpiece of the offense helped him develop, when used sparingly, became extremely additive skills to this teams offense, when they were weaknesses in his previous situation.

Today is the 3rd anniversary of the Nuggets trading for Gordon. We never win the title without AG. Loved Gary Harris but the trade was the reason we got a title

Given that Nuggets roster is stupidly short - Nuggets NEED everyone that can play in NBA or even resemble an NBA player.
Nuggets don't replace BB and JG.
Murray comes to season fat and out of shape (and hence is always injured, or on restricted minutes, or playing like shi* bc he's winded and slow...).
And Nuggets have THE WORST bench in NBA (official).
Nuggets have only 6 (six) NBA players on the roster, including street-clothes Murray.

Yep, Nuggets NEED AG. But Nuggets roster is much weaker than last season. They NEED 3 "AGs" (one more on backup PG and one more on backup C). And they have only one. That's about it.
