It’s Joker and everybody trying to get to his level by emulating him. Jokić is the standard. He is the bar. And anybody that comes along and bests him only has GOATić to thank for helping them to aspire to these new heights.

Jokic, Jokic, Jokic, and then the rest. Any of those "experts" that can't see that should have their jock straps burned. They tarnished the MVP trophy last year. Do it again and the MVP trophy will mean about as much as the participation trophy. I've been a fan since Cousy and West. MJ was the last BB star to be such a joy to watch.
It happened before and it will happen again. MJ in his prime nevertheless finished second to Barkley and Karl Malone in the MVP voting and then bested both in the finals. There was never a doubt that MJ was head and shoulders above both players but it seems there is a tendency to mix it up a bit. On top of that, you get the purpose of the MVP all wrong. It is a media event, it is meant to stir discussion, controversy, clicks, likes, pundits arguing about something. You could look at a single stat PER and determine who the MVP is. That would objectively identify the best player that season. But no one wants that.

I'm a Jokic fan, everyone should be. What gets me in watching highlight reels of him is how his team mates work to mimic his ball control and handling. It isn't a great pass if your team mate doesn't anticipate the pass and turn it into points. Denver's players are REALLY good at doing that.

Joker of course is not the first or only player to do some of the things he does, but the first to do it at this level with a team built around him in the NBA. Most experts still doubted that strategy even this time last year and until the Nuggets finally won it all!

Joker is so far above the rest it's not even funny, he would elevate any team he is a part of. The MVP is about more than just scoring, it's about all aspects of the game and that is where Jokic is head and shoulders above the rest! The numbers he puts up on an average are unheard of, as in no one has ever done what he is doing before, night in and night out!
JT doesn't deserve to be at the MVP run. He has toooo much great players around for him just to be the MVP. Shae is Good, Jokic is Good, Luka is good, and if Embid wasnt injured, is definitely included. To me, Jokic, Luka then Shae.

@@zoranvicentic4810Pa Pecarski je to doneo iz Amerike sa koledža. I pre je bilo zakucavanja, mada u staroj Jugoslovenskoj školi košarke nikad to nije bilo nešto na čemu se potenciralo. Uvek se više vodilo računa o samoj košarci, nego o nečijim atletskim sposobnostima. Sad se situacija dosta promenila, od kako su se pojavili "agenti" i od kako više nema neke preterane želje da se radi na razvoju mladih domaćih igrača, već klubovi sve više uvoze strance itd. Na žalost srpska košarka ode u Piiiip... :D

Prvi koga sam ja primetio je onaj napredni nesretnik Grbovic, sadasnji direktor Arene i logisticar izborne kradje na proslim izborima, koji je dao drzavno dobro tj. objekat za sabirni centar braće iz RS, šaljući ih dalje po gradu da glasaju na "svojim izbornim mestima" za celih 30e i izlet u Beogradu. Politiku na stranu... poenta je da 99,9% igraca do te generacije, nije moglo generalno da kuca, kamoli preko drugih a čim se filozofija igre promenila u smislu da se u fizičku spremu ulagalo značajno više od prethodnih generacija, tada je i krenulo sa tkz. "ponizavanjem".. što kucanje preko igrača nije vec siguran kos + slobodno bacanje. Nisam hteo da vas uvredim ali filozofija izbegavanja ponižavanja protivnika meni bar ne pije vodu i previse je romantizovan pojam za moj ukus. Dovoljno mi je da se setim Danilovica (nazalost takodje loseg coveka i teske seljacine) i njegovog kucanja preko Sabonisa, da potvrdim moje misljenje. Sportski pozdrav, srecno nam bilo na Olimpijadi.. ako se skupimo moze svasta da bude :)

Don't get me wrong.The joker is one of the best in the league right now.. But I Have to be Real.. I had no idea that the joker has been in the NB.A for almost ten years.. No one ever. Talked-about him. They allowed him to develop into the great player he is.
But when it comes to black players, they don't receive the same treatment. They are not allowed to develop like ya'll. Let the joker developed, make it make sense.. Now you're calling him the best in the in the nba .. but for the first 8 years of his career, he was a loser. He didn't even make the playoffs.. But no one talked bad about it.
Even the white people is saying he's the best player in the league😮
Jokic has one weakness, he doesn’t like physical play when he’s getting hit as much as he hits (pulls, pushes, and grabs), others. He flops almost as much as LeBron and can be disrupted when players get into his head. He’s better now than he was a few years ago, but he’s still susceptible to these things, if other teams play him more physically. If Golden State doesn’t collapse and miss the playoffs completely, it’s going to be interesting to see if Howard can make any impact playing against Jokic in the first round (assuming the Warriors are the 8th seed after the play-in, and Denver is the number one seed).
I mean which player ever liked physical plays these days? GSW small ball rotation doesn’t work anymore and now they are desperate to sign centers to cover Looney
Jokic’s current system of play and how it impacts the players around him is more effective and efficient than Warriors’ outdated playing style and now is the current standard
The NBA players know how physical he is. You obviously don't. That's his game. Do you think a guy can be 4th in rebounding without being physical? Most BB people can see how physical he is just watching the games. What have you been watching?
@@cowbaby Jokic can dish it out, but he can’t take it. He’s always complaining about calls and flailing his arms or throwing his head back to exaggerate getting touched. Last night I counted at least three offensive fouls he committed that weren’t called. But go ahead and stay on your fanboy bandwagon.

Nikola leads in wins, +-, touches, rebounds, efficiency, and is top 30 in defence this year Luka is putting up
Record high offensive numbers but so is jokic and he’s doing it on both ends. That’s why he’ll win the mvp no one is more valuable in the league. Not a single person comes close to his efficiency.
