I (think I) know that the umpire had no other choice but to end the match, but there was clearly a disturbing element. Could the umpire have intervened and ask for the point to be replayed? Konta certainly could have asked for it as she must have seen that Halep was disturbed. She did stop playing (you might argue that this was a "beginners mistake" and that she should have continued playing the point). Sad ending to a great match. Credits to Halep for accepting the situation and immediately proceed with the handshakes without any discussion.

I think Halep should’ve turn on the Wozniacki mode and ask for a replay. That was unfair, even though I’m not a big fan of her
