Been watching/following for a while, and just want to mention how much I appreciate these videos and how well done they are. Lots of useful tips, practical reasoning towards why, and also what NOT to do besides what to do. Great job! The only additional minor suggestion I'd make is time markers to make it easier to skip to the specific steps when I go back and review these videos and want to watch a specific step/segment.
@BrionesPickleball I find when I aim for the body (chest) sometimes the ball accidentally goes higher towards the head. Is it best to always aim on the sides instead of straight on to avoid this?
The neutral position I showed in the video is probably the best position to defend. Although if the ball is cross court from you, it may slightly vary depending on your positioning
@@BrionesPickleball I found even at a high level of play, especially against someone with a hard drive or flick the backhand position is my quickest and strongest… but it is preference!

This is what separates 4.0's from 4.5+ players - the intentionality and strategic placement in these types of shots. Great insight!
Exactly!

FYI. The Max Attack program is excellent. It's worth it. Takes a lot of practice. Your game will improve dramatically!
Thanks so much!!
How fast should a speed up be?
As fast as it needs to be to get the job done. It depends.

So basically your saying there is no perfect ready position , because you have an attack for every ready position possible?!?!
Hahaha for me yes, but at higher levels, good players can counter all spots, it just becomes a guessing and intuition game.
@ ok, but what is I could counter all your attacks with a backhand position only
