Beautiful and relaxing Dacha garden. Alex has done well this year working more on the structure of the land. I remember when you first bought Dacha and now it is much improved. Stay safe always❤
We use to call those cinnamon rolls “Danishes “. That garden of yours looks more like a small farm. A testament of a hard working family. Good to see that those strawberries are virus free. May they always be healthy.
Alex looks like one of those people who can eat whatever he wants and never gain weight. Meanwhile, definitely no stress in Mr. Sheffy's life.

The garden looks lovely. We have those solar lights too. They will be fine, but it might get too cold for them. We only get below 0’c maybe 5 days a year.
When I was a child, w would visit strawberry farms and pick the strawberries to take home. Very delicious!

Hello from Colorado! I love watching your progress on your dacha. I have two of the lights that you have and they've survived for 3 years outside. One of the solar panels broke but I can still aim it to the sun. In the winter, I shape the fairly lights into a Christmas tree (I've wired the 2 lights together).

It will not if it the right variety for their climate. I am a certified master gardener. I would always just want to stay at the Dacha!
Nope, plenty of strawberry plants that resist hard winter.
In fact the original wild ones (very small strawberries though) grow in medium mountains with cold climates.
These plants are very invasive though in a normal garden, I would be more scared that they will take space for other plants by next summer.

I honestly wish my husband was as hardworking and helpful as Alex. He’s however attached with superglue to his computer.

Awesome Dacha Alex & Val, I love growing my own strawberries, they always taste so much better than the ones in the store. I grew my own for 7 years and they we're so red and delicious. Thanks for the inspiration to grow more. 🍓🍓🍓

We put the straw under the strawberry plants. So when the strawberries 🍓 come out, they won't start to rot from touching the soil. You have done a very good job, Alex!

Darn, we usually have to pay for wood chips in the US of A. Like $5 per cubic meter if it's bagged.
That mulch is a nice find. Alex did the same as I would do; get as much as possible and stuff in in the car. It is handy for so many things.

Ah Alex did a great job on the garden, really nice. I love your solar light, it is very pretty, but such a shame you and Alex won't be at the Dacha to enjoy it as much as in the summer. I have had such lights in my garden, they always have held up in the weather rather well. In my city in New York those buns are $2.50 for one. Also, they are not good they are full of chemicals and artificial ingredients.

I have been away for a while. The garden looks BEAUTIFUL!! Well done!
If you bring home the solar light in the winter time you can place it in a potted plant near a sunny window and it will give you free lighting, they work great during power outages also.
I thought you were going to mulch the plants for winter. I use cardboard to block out weeks and walk on.

My neighbor has a strawberry farm. We live in Wisconsin USA. Every year in early spring is when I help to plant the new fields. In autumn the plants get covered with straw for the winter.
