Looks very nice and the balance seems to be good, at least between these two factions. Was this on hardest difficulty? The roster for Rohan looks great. Although i'm surprised you didn't recruit more cavalry. Shouldn't that be the real strong point of Rohan? The only thing i don't think fits that well thematically are Frodo, Sam and Gollum as heroes. But its a minor complain from my side. Does Rohan have siege weapons outside of the Ents? Congratulations for the good work.
Frodo is a ring hero for all the good factions (except for dwarves, there you get Bilbo who has I think nearly identical abilities) Sauron is for evil, Smaug is for goblins and I think Necromancer from Dol Guldur has unique ring hero mechanics as well :P
Gollum isn’t a hero and Frodo is a ring hero which makes sense

I loved playing ring mode
So something a friend and I discovered the other night...
Mounted Kingsguard (Rohan's most expensive unit, next to Helmlingas) cannot win in a Unit on Unit melee engagement with Rivendell's Elven Cav. Yet there is no build limit to Rivendell's Cav...
We tested the two units against one another, and the Kingsguard didn't stand a chance, even though Rivendell's Cav ends up being much cheaper, after building Orchards. Also, the Rivendell Cav can be made at a Level 2 Dormitory, whereas Kingsguard are locked behind Level 3 Stables, and are twice the cost, even with 6 Farms constructed...
Just something I felt should possibly be addressed next patch. Possibly a build limit to Rivendell's Elven cav? Or a buff to Kingsguard vs other Cavalry?
It just seems a bit silly that Rohan's best cav unit can't beat another team's best cav unit (understandable in scenarios like against the Morgul Vanguard or some other super-unit with a build limit, but even then, I think two-three Kingsguard battalions could best the Morgul Vanguard 🤔).
Did you build 8 stables to get the max Horselord bonus to armor ? (ech stables give 5% armor to all rohan cav unit on the map, capped at 40%)
@@lilianclairotte9594 I did not. Building 8 stables is quite excessive to be used practically, especially starting with 1k
Rivendell economy is much weaker compared to Rohan's. Their structures produce less resources without proper upgrades and player have harder time playing this faction in early game. To compensate that Rivendell has the best elite units in the game , which are quite costly, especially for Rivendell strugling economy. Also Rivendell is designed to have realy good late game while Rohan can overpower its enemies with insane economy later on.
@@pawesitkowski2619 Veterans of the Last Alliance little sucks Cavalry still trample them and I don't even build that building all you need is 2 dunedain plus heroes
Then I guess....Rivendell, Lothlorien, Misty Mountains, Isengard, Haradwaith, Mordor and Gondor showmatches are next in the coming or following days, weeks, or months I suppose.

@@Clfgy I almost forgot to mention something from last week while showcasing the Rohan faction....aside from Berethor, Idrial, Hadhod and Elegost being in the game there are 2 more of their fellow companions are in The Third Age game as well but they're missing, 2 Rohan fighters one which is an Outrider of the Riddermark and the other is a Shieldmaiden of Penmark, and their names are Morwen and Eaodon. Morwen is yet to be from Gondor as well before being banished to Rohan, Eaodon traveled to Osgiliath often as an Outrider but was then caught up in a battle that had been led by Boromir before Berethor had been banished by the traitor Denathor (whose role of being Steward was diminished).

Hi there I donwloaded the AotR Mod but i get an issue before installing. It says i need the 2.02 8.0.1 Patch and if i switch to it on the Patch switcher it doesnt save the change . So the error is still there and when i reopen the patch switcher its still on 8.0.3 its so weird i dont know what to do maybe here is someone who can help me :D
I have not played this since i was a teen, but if this mod and or game has 'attack and move' this will be awesome:) Never had a Patreon account but when this is released i will get one i promise!
By the way when this mod is released game companies will see that people want these talking inspired strategy games still. More games will be made because of this mod:)

Looks great, though in 33 minutes we see proper horseman after minute 25 and forward. This rohan play felt more like mordor to me. Overwhelming early game with cheap units, spamming towers.. Not making proper transition to high tier units. I may not have properly noticed all the details, just saying how it felt.
You have options, at the start of the game Rohan has two core resource buildings the farm and windmills, windmills decrease to cost of infantry, farms reduce the cost of cavalry, they chose to focus on infantry in this match, both are viable and so is a mix.

@@mehmetozturk771 on the right side of website under featured games click on battle for middle Earth 2. That is the original base game. You can find the download files in there. They also have the expansion game, Rise of the witch king, elsewhere on that site. After downloading and installing these you can get the Age of the ring mod displayed in this video

God, in this vid, the game is so stable and looks soo good. My game always crashed. My PC is: GTX 1060, WIN 10, 16 GB RAM. So how is this possible??? I tried all settings and I have the same problem - the game still crashing.
Let me guess... some kind of Runtime error about memory?
I got that too... look like this mod can’t handle as much unit as the original... (I know that crash almost always happen in fortress map at some point with setting from low to epic)
I got the same PC setting but instead of a 1060 I got a 1050... it’s always the same: the game run perfectly without any problem then BAM! A good’ol Fatal Error 😂 (smaller 1v1 and 2v2 maps almost never crash)
This mod is incredible but this is the price to pay... the engine of this game is 14 years now so am not very surprised...
I suggest saving your game every 5 or 10 min.

Crashes happens when game is reaching memory limit. To prevent that , it is recommended to lower your graphic settings ( turning off shadows and shaders should be enough as they are putting most strain on the game ) and restarting game after every match to reset its memory. You can also try using 4gb patch that increases memory limits of old games. People reported that it is working quite good, but can't be used in multiplayer.
