    Great video. Very helpful and informative. I’m hiking this solo in a month so I’m using this video as research to prepare. And I absolutely love your naturally soothing voice; it pairs so well with your descriptive language and the calming background music. Keep up the good work.

      @@trailtalestravelI decided to cancel my reservation/permit for hiking the Subway. It's more than I want to handle for my short trip to Zion. I'm going to stick to hikes with defined trails instead of the find-your-trail aspect of the Subway. Thanks again for the great video.

    I think the water level and rate of flow were much higher during your visit than average, at least much higher compared to my visit there in April 2021, which will cause much more difficulty in route finding. Thanks for this video, it brings back a lot of good memory of mine.

    Thank you for making this great video. We have permit in hand for the latter part of May this year. It sounds like according to your video that is when you hiked it last year. Can't wait to give it a go!

      Yes we hiked in late may so the conditions should be very similar. Just bring more water than we did, we were a little thirsty when we got back to the car.

      @@trailtalestravel Thank you for the tip about water. How much did you bring? We are thinking 3 liters plus some electrolytes and some water stored in the car for the return trip. We heard the spring water down there is drinkable but probably shouldn't count on finding it :)

      @juliedo5243 you cannot drink the river water, it will make you very sick. We’d recommend 2 litres per person minimum. Also, start earlier in the day than we did, it’ll be much cooler and easier. We started at 1pm and it was a sweat box 🥵

      @@trailtalestravel Right, yes, best to not take chances due to the toxic algae. For sure we will bring enough water and start early. Thanks :)

    Thank you so much for the trail watch. It has been many years since we last visited Zion, and it is still just as beautiful as when we last were there. Loved your video and your commentary. We look forward to seeing more of your videos in the future.

    This looks like the bottom up route?

    • @trailtalestravel
      @trailtalestravel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s right. It’s known both as the left fork and the bottom up route.
