As a retired Air Force Dedicated Crew Chief on F-16's, this video is badass! Always been a fan of Tomcats and Hornets! Makes me wish I went in the Navy like my father but I chose the Air Force. I did get a good skill out of it being an F-16 maintainer but I will forever have the love of aviation running through my veins! I've got the chance to fly in the F-16 I crewed, call sign "Aloha 2", It was an awesome experience of a lifetime flying for 1.5hrs and pulling 9.1G's. I would love to get a flight in a Super Hornet! I've already became a Wingnut fan!
You'er one lucky person,. i was a flight sim type ((F-16) Falcon 4.0 )) with only dreams of such,. soloed a C152 back in "75" but no jets ... i was PLoW-BoY 1 ...
Love seeing the high alpha characteristics of the Super hornet in this video. Very impressive. Also very glad to see you guys training against Su 30 and Mig 29. Makes me so proud to have helped make it! Great video. Keep it up.
As someone who works manufacturing parts for the F-18, this is beyond awesome to watch. We don't make anyting too fancy, just little sheet metal parts like hydraulics and wiring harness brackets, breaker boxes, and such, but it's still awe inspiring to me knowing that I may have worked to make parts that are in these craft.
This video represents the one of the greatest parts of our military! Thank you to the pilots, maintainers & everyone that supports and defends our great nation!
Another great Hornet Ball. Loved the slow mo M83 sequence and the low level Jedi Transition bits. Caught VFA-102 a few times through Rainbow Canyon when I was last there.
Wow, this is amazing. Perhaps the best I've seen. A winner on all levels. Poetic. Great images, editing, and audio. Makes me wish I was young and healthy so I could join the Navy and try to become a Super Hornet aircrew. Many thanks to all who serve. Go Navy!
I'm an aviation enthusiast and this video is done well. It paints a narrative of the pilots the plane in their finest hour. First time I heard M83 Outro was in this video. The use of this song is powerful and it captures the emotion of "the moment in time" walking the heavens beautifully. This is my favorite Hornet Ball video by far.
Being one of the original members of the FIT Team for the legacy birds and a few more years with the Hornet Community, all I can say is I absolutely loved this video. That shot at 4:42 scared the hell out of me. Loved the use of M83's Outro also.
dude... i saw movies like this before but...... after this movie i said i never saw something like this before.... this is `1st class movie, that video is example for others..... greetings from Poland for all pilots and crew and keep going like this....
Oh snap it drops!!! Wingnut left big shoes to fill, and you did an amazing job. Very cool and with unique touches throughout, 5 stars! Especially love the last section, but hey, it's all bad ass.
i have been waiting for the 2015 hornet ball video, fantastic job making this it was amazing and probably the best hornet ball video I have ever seen on youtube.
Heh.. Man this takes me back.. no .. not a pilot but an AO and gave you jet jocks the reason to be in the air :) I left the Navy before the E/F came out but damn... she is beautiful. Great Vid!!!! (VFA-131 and VMFAT-101)
I'm pretty sure those dusk shots blew my mind. Amazing work on this! Looking to pursue a career in military aviation and the Hornet Ball videos are always inspirational :)
You were with the Diamondbacks? My daughter just joined them a couple of weeks ago. First Fleet Squadron assignment. She says everyone there is AWESOME! She didn't make it Hornet Ball this year. She was packing for Japan! (Left the Monday after the ball....) :-)
Really? I actually got a video of that take off. Sound was ok, but can't really see much. I came up to help her and meet the movers the next day. She told me about what time she would be flying that evening and I headed over to the Ops side to that parking lot beyond the hangars to watch. Then went over to the memorial and watched FCLP for a long time, but I know you were not a part of that. FCLP at night is pretty amazing to see. It was beautiful that evening. Were you also at her patching? Her Dad got a little video of her during that. "Why'd she join the Navy? So she could get salutes from her Dad." I'm sure she is going to enjoy being a part of 102. She said that everyone she encountered who had been there had nothing but great things to say about it. She was so happy to get it and so far everything has been going well. Already saw her selfie with Fuji in the background! She had a great experience at 122 too. Thank you.
Got home and saw this. Made my night, I want to get into the Navy as an officer. 3 .4 GPA, but sadly there is no guidance to help me get there. Why arent there officer recruiters or people to help us down the path of getting in. ROTC seems to be the only option along with the Naval academy.
Nice to see the KIDD (DDG100) footage and their Tomahawk launch. Being in the chase plane must have been a real hoot!Great editing, big thumping music, fantastic video. The Aviation Navy has come a long way since my day (Avgas and R1820s and a wooden 27A flight deck, CVS-9). Just loving it all. Fly safe, fast and often!
🥀🇺🇸🥀 You have created an incredible video that allows us to see our brave men and women performing all of the necessary things that keep us safe. You are so wonderful to continue the greatest gift ever... OUR FREEDOM. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you so very much! We are able to live as we want, because of every one of you. Thank you all that have worn the uniform and have served our country that keeps us safe. Your sacrifice is taken very seriously. Much love to all of you and your families. USMC Richard and USMC Christopher's Mom 🥀🇺🇸🥀
Thanks for sharing! IMHO the subject matter and raw footage is compelling and spectacular. I think that you overdid it with the special effects. A little bit of that stuff goes a long way, and too much is a distraction, not an enhancement.
I can only give you one single like, but I'll give you a thousand! Love this video, especially the center part! It's gorgeous! Definitely one of my favourites videos! Thanks!
The best Hornetball of all times its just an amazing feeling to see you guys up there and doing one of the honorablest Jobs in the World ... Fly Safe and thank you for that beautiful View in your amazing Job Greedings from Germany guys :)
The "Australian Driver, Closed Course. Don't know this." Is the F/A-18F Super Hornet fly-by they conduct every year for the Brisbane Riverfire Festival.
I feel like this video can be split into two parts. I feel like the fighter pilot is saying there are breathtaking beautiful moments of his job then there are kickass dangerous moments!
+Callsign: JoNay Listen if you wanted to become a pilot you should joined as a pilot you would have everyone's appreciation because your protecting the boys on the ground.
BO$$ video Stephens, seriously epic man. Just make sure your audio levels are checked prior to the final render and you'll be friggin' platinum. I believe your levels are past peaking which is causing clipping which leads to a significant loss of the range of audio we should be hearing. Your video editor should be able to view the audio waveform for the video and from there you should be able to somehow reduce the overall sound level until the tips of the peaks in the waveform are just visible. If you do that, BAM, no more clipping and you're audio issues are solved.
Holy Shit, that was fucking awesome. 6:30 When the Ticonderoga fired that Tomahawk, I sat up in my seat. That might have been the first shots fired in Libya 2011, if not I saw a damn near sight.
+John Capozzi I understand that too well. Did the Marines right after high school, then after I got out and was considering being a pilot, I found out I'm epileptic. It may be easy to make fun of the Air Force, but I won't ever make fun of a pilot
+Christifer Rogers Its just friendly military rivalry. I was in the Army and we would make fun of the other branches adn they'd do the same to use but when shit hits the fan, you know damn well we can count on each other to defeat the enemy.

8:16...that's one of the coolest uses of slow-mo I've ever seen
*5:38**, that moment when this dank beast of a pilot starts playing M83!*
Sweet videos man! Keep up the ACE class flying!
Still my favorite video. Of all time. I watch Hornet Ball videos all the damn time and this one takes first, no doubt.
AWESOME. One of those moments where it all comes together. I can't stop watching it.
Hands down the best video I have seen in a long time. Great HD shots! and the drone work really is a plus!
First class video, first class quality...just loving it

***** I think I've watched it a good 25-30 times now :D
***** I definitely did, went and got all the music for it too so I could play it when I'm driving up to the Jedi Transition :D

Best Hornet Ball I've seen and I've seen a bunch. Thank you. Right up there with Wingnut.
The amount of editing is amazing!
This has got to be the most well edited video on TH-cam about fighter jets. Fucking well done!
this seriously has to be one of the coolest videos i've seen.. killer job dude!
F'ing awesome... Had so many memories come flooding back from my days working on the flight deck during OEF and OIF. Thanks for the awesome video.
This made me cry. Your job is just so beautiful.

Nicely done. I enjoyed last year's and didn't think it could be matched. You certainly did that.

+Callsign: JoNay Listen if you wanted to become a pilot you should joined as a pilot you would have everyone's appreciation because your protecting the boys on the ground.
Callsign: JoNay some jackass recruiter told me to come back in 6months. :(
Tried and failed. That feels even worse.

Every soldier, airman, sailor, and Marine, I pray you understand how strong our love for you is.

Cinematic! First rate, well done!
Beautiful!
As a former Marine Hornet maintainer this makes me happy. Though there's a distinct lack of legacy bugs lol.
I enjoyed watching it.
Superb footage. Great edit.
I love Top Gun, but this is better than the movie! Thanks for sharing this!

Video so good even a Marine can appreciate it.
Wait, let me rephrase that. Service so good, everyone should appreciate it. Non sibi sed patriae.
+John Capozzi I understand that too well. Did the Marines right after high school, then after I got out and was considering being a pilot, I found out I'm epileptic. It may be easy to make fun of the Air Force, but I won't ever make fun of a pilot
+Kurtis Knechtel Yeah the Chair Force is easy to make fun of but some day your going to be looking up and thanking those who protect you from the Air.
