  • My first time dealing with low ambient temperatures and adjusting fan cycle control switches.low ambient temperatures caused low head pressure which in turn cause my evaporator coils to freeze. Was not able to finish the call today, will return tomorrow when evaporators are fully defrosted to get proper readings and a final diagnosis

    I usually set my fan psi controls to cut out at 85-90 saturated degrees and 35psi or lowest possible differential. Better constant liquid feed but will cycle the motor more with lowest differential setting. 🤘 good video

    Phew ...
    I have to wonder: how did these fan settings get set wrong in the first place, and why didn't the problem appear sooner, like the same day the too-high fan settings were made?

    sometimes you gotta put each fan on its own control, helps regulate it a little better

      Yes. But I know Copeland likes to have 1 fan running all the time. Just depends on the unit I guess.

      I believe this was set for 35, and it worked great all year till the cold came in. Lol

    AC veteran but a rookie in refrigeration starting from scratch on your videos. Question shouldn’t your head pressures be higher like 200 psi if your ambient was 65 degrees so the issue would have been low on charge all along?

    Which Digital probes you guys recommend.The wireless probes,the Smans4,or the Testos,may be Sporlan

    • @rookierefrigeration4357
      @rookierefrigeration4357  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the Fieldpiece probes and also the SMAN 480s. I like them both. There is nothing wrong with the testo gauges, but I prefer the Fieldpiece probes over the testo probes.

    After a year do you still recommend 225 cut in and 50 differential?

    • @rookierefrigeration4357
      @rookierefrigeration4357  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on the system type and refrigerant, I may have tweaked it a bit. Trying to maintain a good Saturated Condensing Temp

    bro,,,,,, you have no air flow… evaporators clogged and even i saw dead evap fans. restore or confirm air flow before adjusting stuff. dirty side of those evap you can’t see. get the heat load back in that system. that’s your problem.
