No seats?!! lol Ohtani brings in 65 million per YEAR purely on off the field revenues..."the Ohtani effect"! 😱Think that should silence SAS! If my math is correct you are getting Ohtani for FREE...having Ohtani literally pays for itself!🤭💯💯💰💰💰💰😂😂😂
The Angels rank 10th is average attendance this year (home and away)…and the $65 million is Ohtani’s total earnings for himself this year (MLB contract and endorsements), not for the team and not just off the field. His endorsements is $35 million, which is a lot, but not in comparison to other sports top players or even 2nd tier stars as he doesn’t crack the top 15 in either endorsements or total earnings for a player. Even if your $65 million statement was true, sports are a business and coming out even is not a good business plan. You need to be making earnings.
And I love Ohtani and I believe that he deserves that much money, but the financial question is something that must be accounted for and looked at based on the facts listed above.
@@TheSchuZShow LOL WRONG!! You need to re-do your due diligence! Yes, he does PERSONALLY makes 65M = 30M salary + 35 personal endorsement per Forbes. That's NOT the 65M I was referring to! 🤭Again the EXTRA 65M (seats, ads, merchandise, Japan sales..that's EXCLUDING Japan TV rights) is called the "Ohtani effect" because if he wasn't there the Angels would have never received this revenue! 65M(ads, seats) - 50M AAV = 15M..isn't breaking even, instant profit for any team!!!😂All MBL owners know this!
@@marcreyes4428 I’m not sure where you’re finding that, because it’s not online anywhere. There are multiple different numbers and estimations, but not seeing $65 million. I know he brings in revenue, but due to the many factors I mentioned above you have to evaluate that as an owner. His brand just isn’t as big as a lot of other athletes out there. He’s likely in the top 18-25 and will be earning top 5-8 money for an athlete. Also you didn’t address anything else that I mentioned lol.
@@TheSchuZShow Why are you comparing to other sports? lol More proper to use recent comparables like AJ 40M AAV. Ohtani 35M in endorsement vs AJ 4M in 2023...from NYC the world marketing mecca! lol If AJ gets 40 AAV then it's a no brainer Ohtani deserves 50 AAV from a purely marketing standpoint. At least we both agreed he should get 500M! :)
